Park Hopper Plus Option Question about Oak Trail

We have 6 day park hoppers and just received our Magic Bands with our Magical Extra Card, and Vouchers for Wide World of Sports and Mini Golf. We booked a round of golf at Oak Trail and wonder how that works with the Park Hopper Plus free round? There was no voucher for it. So, do we use our Magic Bands, the Magical Extras Card, or will they “see” it on our reservation?

Does anyone know how long a round takes on this course? We’re playing on our arrival day- at 11:30 ⛳

Thanks!

I can’t give you any advice about the free round, but I would give yourself about 2 1/2 hours to play the Oak Trail course.

You should be able to present your Magic Bands at the clubhouse when you check in. They should be able to scan the band and see your entitlement. I am not sure if you are bringing clubs but if not there is a fee to rent clubs. Also, your resort and the golf course will provide you with a taxi voucher for free transportation to and from the course.

We have 6 day park hoppers

Do you have Park Hopper Plus tickets, or regular Park Hoppers? The “Plus” has entitlements that includes Oak Trail:
  • Disney's Blizzard Beach Water Park
  • Disney's Typhoon Lagoon Water Park
  • ESPN Wide World of Sports Complex
  • Disney's Oak Trail Golf Course
  • Disney's Fantasia Gardens Miniature Golf Course
  • Disney's Winter Summerland Miniature Golf Course
The other extras you received are from booking a package, unrelated to the specific ticket.

If you have PH+ tickets, just show your MBs at the golf course.

Enjoy your vacation!

Plus- that’s why I was curious as to how it works. We have used the water park perk, as well as Disney Quest back in the day, and I think mini-golf once. Never Oak Trail. There are physical vouchers that came for mini golf and ESPN, so I wasn’t sure about Oak Trail, We have golfed at the regular courses before and never noticed a place where they would swipe your magic band.

Those physical vouchers you received come with every package. So anybody who books a package will receive those regardless of whether or not they have a park hopper plus ticket. Those are not related to the entitlements you get with the park hopper plus ticket, they are on top of it.

I asked because your initial post only said “6 day park hoppers” which is not the same as the Hopper Plus tickets.

Those are package perks, separate from your Hopper-Plus tickets. Anybody who books a package gets those vouchers, even with basic 1-park-per-day tickets. After you have used all your ticket entitlements you can still use those vouchers

Enjoy your vacation!

Oh thanks! Yes, I realize now that I didn’t specify Park Hopper Plus. I think that is a lot of mini-golf and ESPN if the vouchers are on top of the PLUS entitlements. I wonder if anyone actually plays that much. This year, we will try to play the one that is between HWS and Swan/Dolphin on our way to Epcot from HWS. We’ll see!

And thank you! We’re trying a lot of new things this time- package, DDP, EMM, DAH. Looking forward to new things.

The mini golf option with the Plus can only be used prior to 4pm. I don’t know if the package voucher has any limitations. I think it used to only be for 1 free round, not 1 per person.

ESPN really doesn't have much to do or see unless you are there for a specific tournament or event. In my opinion, it isn’t worth either the voucher or a Plus option, unless you are there for a specific event.

I suspect a lot of the package vouchers go unused.

Enjoy your vacation!

I just saw on WDW ticket information:
"Your tickets are valid for admission to multiple theme parks on any one day from Apr X, 2020 through Apr X, 2020. (This is a one day range) Your ticket also provides one visit to a water park or other Walt Disney World fun during the same date range. "
My family has always done the Park Hopper Option Plus but we did not use our "plus- used for a water park" on the same day we were park hopping. We used to have a 14 day window from first day of using tickets. Yet, this information says "same date range" which implies on the same day. Does anyone know if this is now true?

The above is for certain specialty one day tickets, some of which may be given out at time share presentations and some of which might be given to guests to make up for some hardships or inconveniences that cut down on vacation time.

For a standard one day ticket with water park fun (and hopping), the date range spans two days, e.g. Apr. X, 2020 through Apr. X+1, 2020. The water park visit may be on the declared day for the theme park visit(s) or on the following day.

In the past, vacation packages usually came with two golf vouchers and/or two water park vouchers, each voucher good for one person for one visit. Additional persons would have to buy separate admissions or add/have water park fun on their theme park tickets.

Incidentally six day standard tickets with water park fun have six fun visits and a usage life span (date range) of ten days. Tickets of different lengths have different life spans.

If your room reservation includes fun vouchers then it is a package subject to package rules including cancellation deadlines. As opposed to a room only reservation.
