i am taking 5 nieces and nephews to WDW and have already purchased 5 day park hopper pass tickets. Problem is (some problem hugh) we are now staying an extra day. If I buy another 5 day pass will each child be able to use it one day - they don't do biometrics on these passes? I have an annual pass and know I have to have my fingers scanned. My other alternative is to buy 5 single day tickets. Thanks in advance for your responses.

Hi Chip - I've heard they don't do biometrics on the PH passes. Yeahhhh, that's some dilemma!;) But what a nice thing you're doing taking FIVE of them. Hope you have eyes in the back of your head. Maybe take them to a waterpark that extra day or just take it easy? Some kids would rather hang out at the pools anyway. Or maybe a movie? Good luck with that and have a blast!

Are you saying just buy one 5 day pass and each of the 5 kids use one day of the one 5 day pass?
If so then no that won't work. And if it does then it is news to me! You will have to have a different ticket for each kid to get in.
sorry.
Maybe someone knows more about this then me.

However, my suggestion would be that in the middle of your 5 days you take a day off from the parks and rest, swim, go to downtown disney, etc.
Do you have 5 day hoppers with pluses? If so then go to a water park with one of your pluses. But I think a day off in the middle would be a nice break.

On our last trip we were able to add days onto the hoppres we had left. We had two days left and were staying 4 so instead of buying new hoppers, we turned in our old ones and paid the difference to upgrade to 5 day hoppers. Since you've got time, call Guest services - they'll help. (Almost as helpful as the people on this board!!)

Don't dismiss a non-park day though - 5 kids, 5 days - you might need the break! princess:

DVCTiff - thanks for the well wishes. I am really looking forward to this. They range in age from 10-15 and for 3 of them this is their first trip. Actually the oldest one is the most excited - he still cannot believe he is going. But they are all good kids! The big surprise is they think we are all going down in a big van but I am actually surprising them and we are flying after working much overtime - that is why the extra day (7 days total). We are going down right after Thanksgiving so they get to see it decorated for Christmas, you never know when they will get back there again so this will be a special trip for all of us.

Thanks to all for the quick response. I should be okay then by getting another 5 day pass for a total of 6 passes.
:yo-yo:

Water park! Water park! May I suggest Typhoon Lagoon? My DS and DD really love this place. So much so that they are willing to buy their own passes when we go in October. (I goofed up on the tickets by not consulting with them before purchasing. No pluses!) On our last trip we took a day off in the middle to go to Typhoon Lagoon. One of the best days of the trip!

By the way, you will need to upgrade those tickets. You can't have everyone use the same pass for admission.

I don't plan on everyone using the same pass. They will each have their own 5 day pass. I thought I would buy an extra 5 day pass and have one person use 1 day at a time from the extra 5 day. Is that going to be a problem?

Should work fine to have the one extra 5 day pass. Just use that extra pass for a different person each day - day one - person one uses extra pass, everyone else uses their pass, day two person two uses the extra pass, everyone else uses their pass, day three person three uses the extra pass, everyone else uses their pass, day four person four uses the extra pass everyone else uses their own pass, day five person five uses the extra pass everyone else uses their own pass.

Make sure to mark the passes in some way or make sure each person holds on to their own pass and you keep the extra pass. Number each of the people 1-5 and number the days 1-5 so that number of person knows it is their day to use the "extra pass".

BTW! I think it is wonderful what you are doing!! I know the kids will remember their trip for the rest of their lives! You are an AWESOME relative to do this! Have a MAGICAL vacation!!

Wannabee princess has the right system for doing this. You could not use the extra pass for 5 admissions the same day, but you can technically use it the way WP suggests.

However, officially Disney says these passes are non-transferable so technically you are not allowed to do this. But they have no way of checking this. Nonetheless, you may wish to call Disney and see what it would cost you to upgrade to a 6 day PHP (although it is probably a lot more $$$ than the extra 5 day PH).

As WP said, mark the tickets somehow and keep track of them so you don't get stuck on the last day with 0 days on one pass (because it was accidently used) and 2 days left on the extra pass. It takes a little effort and planning to keep track of these tickets but it can be done. Make sure you leave the ticket not being used that day in your resort. Only tickets used to enter the park that day can get a FP and you don't want to waste time accidently trying to use the pass not scanned on entry that day.

Good luck and have a great trip.

Definitely will mark the extra ticket. I know I am looking forward to this trip. With the kids it will be great, can't wait to see their faces. I am the youngest of 7 and have no children of my own. Lots of nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews. I keep telling them that when I am old and in a home all I want is for one of them to stop buy once a week and give my wheelchair a shove - I will make believe it is the Wedway People Mover. Thanks again everyone.
