Hi all - I'm new to this apparent insanity!
My first of probably many questions:
If you get the dining package do you have to also have the park hopper option on your tickets in order visit a restaurant in say, Epcot (for a late dinner) when you just spent the day at say, the Magic Kingdom?

Thanks for any help.

Yes, you would need a park hopper. So be sure to make your ressies for the park you will be in that day.

To eat any meal in a park you must enter the park with a valid ticket. If you have an ADR in one park, and have been in another park that day you must have a hopper to enter the park for the meal.

If you dont have a park hopper, you will use another "day" from your ticket.

Not true - you cannot use an extra ticket day to enter a 2nd park, only the park hopper option. If you choose not to purchase the park hopper option, you will need to make ADR's for restaurants in the park you will be spending the day in, or at a resort restaurant.

If you do not have a hopper, the ticket will say: "x days (1 park per day)".

If you go to one park and later attempt to go to another, on your side of the turnstile it will say "access denied" and on the greeter side the top line will indicate they type of tacket and other information, but the lower line will say "crossover not permitted".

If you came to my turnstile and this happened I would make three suggestions (in order). That you go to Guest Services and upgrade the passes to hoppers, that you go back to the original park, or you find non-park things to do for the rest of the day. If you explain that you have an ADR my response is you must have a valid ticket to enter the park, and your non-hopper is not a valid ticket to enter the park that day since you have been to another park.
