Park Hopper exchange question

We have 6 day park hopper and water park fun and more passes. They were purchased through a travel agent, and all changes we have had to make have had to be done through her. We are not allowed to call disney direct.

We have decided that we are not going to be using the water parks at all during our trip. It is our first trip and with our preferences and knowing our boys (5 and 1) we decided that it would be best to explore all 4 parks and not use a day for the water parks.

I know there is a $26 dollar difference between park hopper and park hopper and water park fun and more tickets (per adult, not sure of the difference for the child ticket) These tickets were bought for us as a gift so I don't feel comfortable asking to exchange them and take the extra cash or disney gift cards for the difference.

Does anyone know if when we get to WDW we would be abel to exchange them for the regular park hopper and get the difference on disney gift cards to use in the parks?

If these tickets were purchased for you separately and not part of a Disney resort package, there's no way to return them and re-buy new ones with PH only. Even when you arrive at WDW, you won't be allowed to do that at a Disney ticket booth or Disney Guest Relations. Essentially, there's no return policy for tickets in which Disney refunds money to you. If you got these tickets as part of a Disney package that included hotel and tickets, you would be able to change your tickets to ones with less features, but this would have to be done before 45 days prior to arrival or there'd be a change charge. Sounds like your tickets were bought separately. Only other option is to keep the tickets at home, unused. Buy new tickets with PH only. Either sell or gift the unused tickets or use them on a future trip. They never expire.

I am not totally sure how the tickets were bought. They were bought for us in conjunction with the rest of the trip. My boss is giving us the entire trip as a gift (airfare, hotel and tickets). I believe they booked a package through their travel agent though.

If there was a way to find out if the tickets were part of a Disney Resort package, it would be helpful. As said, package tickets can be changed prior to check-in. After the change cut-off date (45 days out) there will probably be a change charge involved. Tickets purchased separately, like from Disney Online or The Disney Store, can't be changed after purchase. Good luck.

Have you considered a visit to Disney Quest or a Mini Golf course? These are also part of the Water Parks & More add-on. I know that Disney Quest tickets are more than $26 if purchased at the gate.
