Park Hopper and 5 day tickets

Are you also getting Genie+? This option paired with Park Hoppers will let you easily hit the main attractions in both parks each day.

Yesssss!!!!!

Park hoppers yes for all mentioned above but in case it wasn’t mentioned, get park hoppers just for the fact that Disneyland is always open for about 2 hrs later than DCA.

I can’t imagine having to leave when DCA closes and seeing an open Disneyland that I couldn’t go into!

Also, for nightly entertainment. You’ve got World of Color in DCA, and Fantasmic and the fireworks in Disneyland. Having park hoppers mean you don’t have to decide which park for which day based on the shows, you can just plan to see what you want any night.

And ALWAYS genie+

Best place online to buy DL park tickets? I've used UT in the past...are they still the best? TIA.

First time poster, and first time going to Disneyland (California). We are staying on property and bought 5 days of tickets. My family and I are thinking of adding the PK, BUT is having the Park Hopper worth it? We plan on doing rope drop to make use of the early entry for each park, so trying to understand the value of it.

We never use park hopper when we go to WDW. We plan on using the ILL for Radiator Springs and maybe Rise. I would think that the two parks have more than enough to do for a full day at each.
It aint cheap but so much more worth it at Disneyland than WDW. Practicing the advice being given, we're going in January four days and we'll be adding park hopper.

You mentioned staying on property. Not sure if that's Gand Cali, Pixar, Disneyland Hotel, etc. The park hopper is worth it regardless but if you're staying at Grand Cali or Pixar its valuable. You can easily pop back into California Adventures for some evening fun then head to Disneyland. Or, vice versa. Go to Disneyland, then hop over to California before heading to your room at Grand Cali / Pixar. Disneyland hotel mostly dumps you through Downtown Disney and the central plaza between the two parks.

For five days that sounds like a great trip.

General question about park hoppers: I have three days of 1-park-per-day tickets. I have made my park reservation for those days. On the last day of my trip, would I have the option of adding Park Hopping if I decide I need it? What would the process be?

You also not have to forgetting that was missed in the posts so far, that you can´t decide which Park you would have Early Half Hour this decision is made for quite some time by DISNEY themselves they decide which Park has it not both anymore sadly means to check on park hours before doing the park reservations.

Mostly on Sun and Mon DCA it seems to having their early entry and TUE, THU and SAT for THE OG Park and WED and FR for DCA as well.

So checking it before your trip and before doing the park reservations would be not a bad idea since that rythm could vary who knows what they planning during a Year before it was easier for visitors on-site.

For this new way I planning to visit it first when early entry than hopping to the other park but yeah it depends on how much you are travel with you as Solo Traveller it is way easier to do and for me the park hopper is worthy even when I will not use it every Day.

Also for some Genie+ makes sense for others they think it doesn´t depends when you be there and how much you care if it works or not it can help but it may could not I will take it but not sure how much of a help and ease it will be but I had it 2 yrs ago in WDW and okay not that easy but it depends on own point of view.

I would watch some useful vids on YT for that service to see how it works and you could check wait times on days you want to be there to see how it does and if it would be useful depends of group sizes as well since $30/day/Person isn´t cheap even for me as single Traveller it is not really easy and cheap.

So good luck and don´t forget checking out the park hours to be prepared but with park hopper you can make it easier I wouldn´t consider DCA as half Park but okay some did and since Disney paused Entertainment kinda yeah if those extra shows wouldn´t perform it is getting less excited but okay.

But I would consider doing a fully Park Day in the Original Park itself since it has the most Rides Shows and Entertainment FANTASMIC is back (without a Dragon at the moment sadly) and also they having some SW Galaxy´s Edge Fireworks after night kinda Show in Batuu Area and they having a Nighttime Show at Main Street U.S.A.

And at Halloween Time a overlay of HM from Aug 23rd with Virtual Queue means getting online on your phone and get a boarding group for that. And their is a unique Main Street U.S.A. Tour seeing Walts Apartment at Firehouse for around $169,- expensive but something special.

Also good Food and Snacks in the Park Golden Horseshoe were Walt and his Wife celebrated their 30th Wedding-Anniversary Cafe Orleans, Blue Bayou Cafe in the PotCaribbean Ride. And so much other cool stuff to explore where Walt Disney walked around.

I have booked 2 day tickets without park hopper but with G+ which will be dedicated to one full day in each park, when we will concentrate on hitting as many rides as we can. Then I have booked 5 day park hopper tickets (with G+) so we can move between the two parks easily and have a much more leisurely time of it. We want to check out the holiday decorations and entertainment in both parks during the day and night so having the PH is going to be so worth it. We also have a couple of non park days planned to go play mini golf nearby and a day hitting some antique stores. Can't wait.

Five days will see everything twice over if you're an all day type touring person. Also depends on what you're doing in each one and timing constraints....and eating too!

Hoppers make it very convenient, but not essential either. You can find most needs met at either park for the day for at least three days
By day 4-5 you may be wanting that hopper though to rehit whatever you loved on days 1-3.

Did you get all those gotg versions? Incredicoaster for the fourth ride? Rs evening light up? F! Again? Or close down galaxy edge after fireworks at the MF with a round at ogas.

So many options. Each park will have it all, but hoppers simply doubles the options and flexibility for the party.

Is it a 3 day ticket or 3 separate one-day tickets? If it is a 3 day ticket, you pay one flat price to add the hopper option ($70), and it applies to all of the days of the ticket. You can’t add it to only one day of a multi-day ticket. So if you think you want it for any days at all, you should add it before you arrive or when you arrive so you get the most value out of it. I believe you can add this option to your existing ticket by phone ahead of time. Otherwise, you would go to the ticket booth to do this at the parks, but the lines can be very long sometimes, and not how you want to spend your park time!

https://plandisney.disney.go.com/question/add-park-hopper-existing-tickets-567848/

If you have 3 separate one-day tickets, then you can add the hopper only to the last day’s ticket. But that is $65 for that one day (and you can only add it to an individual day if ticket is only a one-day ticket). So it is much better value to add it to the 3 day ticket than to a one day ticket, and to add it ahead of time or on the first day.

The person I spoke to at DL said if you wanted to add parkhopper to the last day only of a 3-day ticket you could do that at the park that day, but when I heard it was only $5 more to add it to all 3 days, that's what I did.
