Park hair

I have short wavy baby fine hair. Yes florida is NOT my atmosphere. :sad2: But I am single handily bring back the afro?
My sister and I judge how humid it is by the amount of afro. 50% afro, 100% afro..........:scratchin
Now, I miss out on 1 thing > the pony tail. Please remember certain rides {BTMRR} and a wiping pony tail attacking the poor woman behind
you with 75% afro. Been attacked by long hair many times at wdw. Just as I should remove my mickey :wizard: hat during mickey's philpharmagic.
And when was the last time you dressed perfectly with makeup, hair, and heels in the park. I can't even remember. OMG :confused3

I do ponytails and headbands. I shower during our midday break and at night. This year, I'm trying ears headbands from etsy since I always do headbands anyway.

I do ponytails, usually side swept, sometimes down with a wide brimmed straw type hat wide enough to hopefully to cover some of my shoulders first thing in the morning. I take mid-day breaks and go back in the evenings for dinner, and usually close down the latest park, or end up at a lounge. I style my hair for the evening, in the morning, its what's easy. Sometimes it still looks nice from the night before, but that's not often.

I always straighten my hair but it still gets poofy. I try to use some hair serums and frizz ease but aside from that buns and braids are the way to go.

DD and I have a ton of super curly hair. It's going to be a nightmare in the humidity. It looses definition and is just poofy without a lot of product in the summer even home in the Midwest. Luckily it is fairly long so we will probably be rocking braids most days.

so at home I use a wand each day for loose beach wave look, but not sure this will keep in the humidity...anyone have some great hair tips besides wearing a ponytail ever day?

Nope. My hair is fine and straight. More than once I have tried to do really cute things with my hair while at WDW, and I always end up pulling it into a ponytail.

Top knot, side braid or pulled through a cap. The only time I did my hair was our first trip 9/2011. I teased my hair everyday and pinned it half up. it was shorter then

I curled my hair with a wand to go to MNSSHP, the pic we took ata the bus stop was so cute, by the time I got in front of the castle it was straight.

I will be rocking the french braid look!

I usually wear my hair down to start with, but if I'm going on a fast ride I may tie it back temporarily. Honestly, in the summer there's not much for me to do aside from throwing some product in my wet hair and just accepting that it will not be perfect. I tried straightening it one trip in September.... HAHAHAHAHA!

...straightening works okay in the winter though. ;)

When my hair was longer I'd put it in a ponytail with a cap during the day & a top knot at night. Now that my hair is shorter, I make two small braids or low pigtails with a cap.

A bun, messy or otherwise, every day. Anything to get my hair off my shoulders and back. I can't wear a pony for long periods because my hair is too heavy and it gives me a headache.

Last trip I curled my hair one day and it lasted pretty well. My hair is thick and holds curl for days, but it was definitely hot and I was sweaty so it went up half way through the day. The rest of the trip it was in two french braids or I used the waves the braid created. After day one of curling my hair I chose sleep over getting up to do my hair. Most of the time I was in line or on the bus braiding it.

Up and out of the way..Otherwise it's just frizzy poof. A bun of some sort with hair spray and frizz tame serum is about as good as it gets for me. That's probably not the advice you were looking for. :)

I have long straight hair.

Two French braids! It's my Disney go-to!! I will do the same for ODD and her 9yo cousin this September.

No ride-induced hair lashings from wind. Always cute in ride pics/other pics. Easy to hairspray a shell to protect integrity. Easy to repair without a brush.

Braids are life. They look cute with Minnie ears too. :earsgirl:

I've got thick, curly hair, but I switched over to short hair styles a couple years ago and am not looking back. Last time I went to WDW (and I expect I'll do the same again) I just kept my summer style later into the fall than usual, which meant it was very short and completely off my neck when we went down to Florida. Trouble is, it's hard for me to get good, defined curls in the humidity; it just wants to poof out in every direction. I normally shower in the evenings at home, but on vacation I shower in the mornings so my hair has its best possible chance of drying the way I like it instead of getting weird from being slept on. I probably use more anti-frizz stuff in it than usual, too, and when all else fails (and sometimes even before that) I just pick up a cute hat to wear at least part of the time.

Two years ago I was doing the whole flat iron thing on my curly hair. I stubbornly tried to continue at Disney and wasted a lot of time in the morning. I gave up after 3 days. I've decided to live with my curls for the time being so I plan ponytails and braids (reverse and French). I don't have thick hair so I just do one in the middle. I like the idea of spiral bobby pins and French twist. I will probably try those - thanks pps.
