However the point about taking things in under jackets, shirts, etc is so true. Do you think that if some one was truly intent on doing any sort of 'damage' inside the park that this security check would stop then? Please!
Btw, I used to work with a police women who wore a thigh holster under her skirt. How would you check for that?

That is the entire point of the show, to make people feel safe at the parks. It's PR, it's not security.

We have only been once when it was cool or cold enough for jackets or coats(on a cool Oct. evening we just wear a sweatshirt). In Dec. 2004 it was darn cold and there was no check under our coats, so i would assume it would be pretty easy for something to be brought in.

The checks do seem rather useless, as it seems(in bags that aren't clear) they don't really see all you could have in there. I still feel a little better knowing they are there. I have to wonder if the main reason they are there is as a slight deterrent...I have no doubt, as I said before, that WDW has their "true" security in order in case its needed.
