park dress codes?

I wish there was! Not only a dress code but a grooming code as well

there shold be a rule that everyone should first shower then dress in an appropriate manner, meaning keep it covered please. No body wants to see someone elses butt hanging out of too short shorts, or ****s out of skimpy tops, or thongs in a kiddie pool (that is really bad), or men without shirts..People thing less clothing is cooler, but it is not. Also I don't want to sit where someone's hairy sweaty back has been either.

We saw a lot more skin on our last trip (6/29-7/6) than during past ones. I was surprised at how many women were just wearing bikini tops and tiny shorts. Saw a few men with no shirt, but not many at all. I thought the Disney policy was that you could only wear swimsuits on the water rides and then needed to put shirts back on???

What's right or wrong in another culture shouldn't matter, WDW should make their policy known and enforce it. Just my opinion...

Wonderfully put. I guess some people, (as we say in the South), were not brought up right. They have no manners and do not care about anyone but themselves.

That's a great point. If there is anything that is not "common" is it people's "sense" of what's appropriate. We are a big, beautiful nation of people with a wide diversity of sensibilities and values.

Someone above posted that there might be a "no swimwear" policy at the parks. If that's true, does anyone know if it applies to little boys and trunks.

I've been visiting WDW for almost 20 years now, and I've never seen a written "no swimwear" policy that applies to the theme parks in general. As long as there's both a top and a bottom, I wouldn't worry about it.

I don't have much of a problem with seeing skin as I do with not wanting to sit where it has come into contact. I was so grossed out at The Mara at AKL anytime I saw someone with their butt cheeks hanging out of their swimsuits, just sitting in the chairs without a care in the world. I'm sorry, but how hard is it to put something down on the chair?

Not just the kids either. I can't tell you how many times I saw a woman who thought she was being discreet in her short little skirt when I could see way more than I ever wanted to

This is one of the reasons why I go in the off-season besides the shorter lines...its crazy what people will wear in public. And I'm sorry if this offends anyone, but some people just smell way to bad.

I also am more comfortable running around the park in jeans and sneaks and you can't do that during the summer months in FL.

All I can say is, there is a reason why clothes were created. My child does not want to see your hairy chest, chest or butt hanging out or clothes clinging tightly to you. It's a family place, act like it. If you want to be close to naked, stay in your room or perhaps you are visiting the wrong vacation spot. How about France?

I think it is sufficient to say that reasonable people disagree about what is and isn't appropriate with regard to issues of attire. I don't believe it serves constructive purpose for us to craft recriminations regarding folks who simply believe differently that we do.

Oh my how the times have changed. I saw some film of guests arriving at DL when it first opened. Dad was wearing slacks, sport coat, and shirt w/tie. Mom was wearing full dress, hat, white gloves, and pumps. Boy was wearing crsply pressed slacks with button down shirt and girl looked like a miniature version of mom. How could they stand to wear all those clothes?
I'm sure they would be scandalized by what the MOST conservative of us wear to the parks today.

Today, that ride would be called "the Neverland Express" or the "Carousel of Decline," or "Stitches Half Nude Adventure".

i am sure that it says on the maps that swimwear'/bikini tops must not be worn, and tops must be worn at all times. It says it somewhere anyway...

It's seems like selective enforcement, based upon the mood and mind of security at the entrance. Many people go in with swim bikini tops under t shirts, only to quickly remove the tshirt once inside the parks and sweating in the sweltering florida heat.

There must be a great many people here that don't go to BB or TL, because they are Disney Parks too.

I also love those, but can't wear them since I tend to expose a wee bit too much cleavage.....sorry guys. But if that isn't an issue, then why not.

As far as being a country of different views...yes, that's true. But I have to say...when planning a trip to Arizona the guide books told me that there are several Native American tribes that really frown on shorts on women, so ladies should avoid wearing them if they will be going to those reservations. Now, my question is this....would those of you who are for the freedom to express our individuality say that you should be able to wear shorts if you want to gosh darn it!?? Sorry but I really feel that people should take others points of view into account when being out in public. A theme park is no place for bikini tops and 'daisy dukes'. Water park..sure, knock yourself out. But I really don't want someone to be offended by what I'm wearing. But then again....I'm still stuck in the 'no-white shoes' after Labor Day' age!! So what do I know

Well since the **** fairy visited ( 2 or 3 times ) DD14, She most certainly will not be wearing anything other than a heavy duty sports bra,Tshirt and a Long sleeve shirt buttoned to the neck!!!. Can only carry the whoop *** stick for a little while before the arms get tired.On a lighter note, we were at Sea World a few months ago and I was waiting outside for DW and DD while they got some trinkets, they came out and these two boys were walking by and just stared at DD as she passed by, one of them walked headlong into a light pole!!!!!
