Do they make an announcement over a PA system that the park is closing in i.e. 30 minutes? With an 8:00pm closing time, will they allow you onto a ride at, say, 7:45? I'm wondering how to schedule the last hour on an early closure day.
I am pretty sure you can enter a line queue up until closing time. I don't recall ever hearing a message over the system, but I hardly stay until closed. I know a lot of people wait until 15 minutes before closing to get in the nemo ride and wait less!
I've never heard a warning that the park is about to close, but they do announce the Disneyland is now closed, but the Main St shops will remain open for your convenience for at least an hour.
They announce that the park is now closed. But I have never heard a 30 min warning. And in most cases you can get in line up until park closing. Now depending on where you are, you may or may not hear the message (recording). You will not hear it in most stores or on rides, as well as some areas of the park.
this is my nemo strategy on my ABD trip since mornings won't really be an option. if the park closes at 10, get on line around 9:45 (ridemax still predicts a 45+ minute wait)
I have been able to get in line to the very last minute.
One of my favorite times at DL is when DH and I rode Splash one night as the very last ride. We were able to basically walk right on and were loaded with a family of 4. It was funny because they loaded DH and I in the back, the parents in the middle and their kids right in the front. Well needless to say the weight in our log was not evenly spread out. We kept bumping the back of the log. Everyone was laughing and having a great time, then came the drop ... since the frot of the log was up higher, we got drenched!! All of the water came over the sides and we were soaked! Once we got off the ride, DH and I were laughing and walking hand in hand to the front of the park. We were taking our time and there was no one around. It was like we had it all to ourselves! Well until we walked upon a DVC cart that is We chatted with them a little and finshed our walk to the front of the park. It was romantic and peaceful. Staying until the park closes has it's benefits
