park capacity

We are leaving this Saturday for our vacation at WDW and I am worried about park capacity. I have read tips of leaving parks in the afternoon and coming back rested, but if we leave, will we be allowed to re-enter? We are staying at CSR if that makes any difference.

If the park is closed and you are trying to re-enter, it will depend on what phase of closing they're at. Here are the various phases:

Phases for Park Closing

Phase One : Closed to Day Guests who have not already purchased tickets and Cast Members using their Maingate & Silver Passes.

Phase Two : Admission is limited to Resort Guests, Premium and Annual Passholders, crossovers and other Guests re-entering one of the Parks. Guests using WDW Resort Transportation and Guests in taxis will be admitted.

Phase Three : The theme park is only open to Resort Guests using Disney transportation from their Resort or other theme parks or Annual and Premium Passholders. Shades of Green and Downtown Disney Resort Area Guests using their respective transportation will also be admitted.

Phase Four : Closed to all Guests.

So ... to answer your question ... because you are staying on site, if the park is closed when you leave, you will be readmitted unless the park is at Phase Four. You will need to use Disney transportation to ensure this, however. The parks seldom hit Phase Four. They generally hit Phase Three, but Phase Four is for days like Christmas and Easter and the odd day between Christmas and New Year's. As long as you're staying on property and you use Disney transport, you should be fine.

Thank you very much! My mind is now at ease. We'd like to take the mid-afternoon siesta, but I'd made a priority seating for dinner on the 4th of July and were worried whether we'd be able to get back in.
