Park capacity normal days vs. holidays (on park reservation calendar)

We are going to be at Disney over New Years. My initial thought was not to go in the parks New Years Eve/Day.... just thought it would be too nuts. Then I started thinking... if capacity on the parks availability calendar is the same on a normal day vs. a holiday.... those days should be no worse than any other day at capacity on the calendar.

So does anyone happen to know, is capacity on the park reservation calendar different for holidays?

Capacity is just an invented number these days, it's based on staffing more than anything....like how much is everyone's favorite person willing to pay to have the parks staffed.

Park pass capacity is variable, not fixed. They will have extra staffing for the holiday week, an it will be MUCH more crowded than a "sold out" day in September.

Honestly, if you are at Disney for New Years I highly suggest giving the parks a try.
New Years Eve in Epcot is the most exiting day I've ever spent in a Disney park, ever. And I've done some pretty exciting days in Disney parks, opening 3 different lands, done a 24 hour day, several special one of a kind after hour events, etc.
I'd pick New Years Eve at Epcot as #1
If you hate it, leave. But try it
Last year, 2021, the first one with the reservation system, was the least crowded I've ever seen.
It was almost like any other day. Slightly higher crowds but did not even remotely resemble 2019 and prior years.
It was still a blast with all the entertainment and the most spectacular fireworks you'll ever experience.
It was very nice to not wish for a FP to use the restroom, LOL
New Years Day is not crowded in the parks at all.

New Years Eve is our travel day, so won't be spending a full ticket on that partial day (but will need to find a non-parks way to celebrate New Years Eve.

New Years Day is definitely a parks possibility if the crowds are manageable.

As the holiday's get closer they will announce activities at the resorts. There are quite a few fun ones. Some costly, some no cost at all
