Park attendance was actually pretty light today (with pics)!

On a 1-10 scale, I'd say we were somewhere between 3 and 4, in terms of crowds today. Not bad at all. At 2:00 POTC had only like a 15-minute wait!

I managed to be the first on PP today. A kid tried to run past me in the last five yards. I always consider that rude -- just a half-step below cutting. But I was able to get there first.

Something else that was great: when I parked on the Donald Duck level, I was in the first spot immediately after the premium parking. That's the best spot I've ever had!

Here are a few pics from today.

Very nice pics!!

Crazy day in both parks. Surprised at the lower volume today and it was nice and sunny.

Good thing though, many rides were having trouble. StarTours only had two bays in operation and those were even iffy.
I didn't see anyone in the stand-by line and the posted time at 60 minutes. When I looked at the FP line it was back by Plaza Inn.
I asked the CM what the wait time was for the FP line and they felt that it was at least 45minutes. The reason was technical issues.

A little after 9PM I heard the booms of fireworks. Park closed at 8pm but sure enough they were running through a set. Had a nice view from the Adventure Tower. It had all the familiar sets. Happy to be in the room and off my feet to watch them.

Geemo

Of course it was because I was going to go today and decided to wait until next week, when it will probably be more crowded.

Great pics....thanks for sharing! :thumbsup2

It's so nice to see Santa taking a vacation.
We saw a Santa at the parks in late January and it was actually pretty creepy. Old guy dressed as Santa walking around by himself. He had the beard, belly, hat and pants and was wearing a Christmas T that joked about not liking Christmas. Saw the same guy at least 5 times just wandering. Makes you keep a close watch on your kids...

We were there Sat-Mon. Was shocked how packed it was on Monday. Amazing the difference a couple of days makes.

Huh....Rob......Santa Claus and roses on the cupcakes.....I think you did a great job photo-shopping out all of the Christmas decor.....that Castle roof must have taken a long time....and that Toy Story cloud outlay with the balloons...just great!!!!!

We were there too and after seeing how slow Sunday seemed, I was looking forward to an empty Monday. Why are Mondays busy?

afternoon flights, hotel check out back to home, slept in Sunday because Sunday is always crowded.....and who goes to Disneyland on Mondays?

though the best observation it is always magical to end a day at Disneyland by staying into the night and going back to Lodging.

I really don't know why Mondays seem to be so crowded but if I had to wager a guess I think 1) people who come for a three- or four-day weekend (maybe leaving Monday night or Tuesday) and 2) people planning to skip the weekends because "weekdays won't be crowded" and thinking Monday will be slow. I honestly have found Mondays more crowded than Fridays (until the evening/after work when it picks up).

Bummer. I was hoping this Monday would be slow. We're only going to be there from 9AM opening until about 1PM. At least it won't be October busy.
