Park/Annual Pass

Are park passes connected to the "Key to the World" card when you stay at the resorts? I carried and used our annual pass when we visited WDW last April to use to get into the parks and use for Fast Pass. I watched a person use their "Key" just like a park pass and recieve Fast Passes. Do I even need to carry the pass after we check in to the resort??

...which is really disappointing to hear. I'll have to buy a larger wallet for all the cards I'll be carrying when I come (I am the official card carrier for the family.). I just purchased PAPs and received the lime green exchange cards in the mail. I heard that the actual PAPs are just paper cards and not the nice cards like the KTTW. Is that true?

Annual passes are not paper, they are a thin flexible nylon/teflon type card, similar to tyvek. You can not tear them easily. There is much more info printed on the AP than is normally on a room key. They are easily replaced if damaged, just show your DL at guest services.

Since room keys contain not only the MWY passes, but also the room key, and onsite charging info, it really isn't feasible to put an AP on a room key.

Only new, unused MYW tickets can go onto a room key, partially used tickets can not be transferred to room keys.

What is DL? (I am not so good at these acronyms... and I am pretty sure it is not DisneyLand, in this case)

In this context, it means Driver's License or Photo ID. You need to show photo ID to replace your Annual Pass.

My DH got one of the "water proof" wallets in the gift shop at the resort (they have them at all of the resorts) It's hard plastic and seals shut, keeps everything dry in the pool & on water rides, has a long cord that you can wear around your neck or DH puts it thru his belt loop and "ties" it so that he keeps the case in his pocket and it won't fall out.

DH keeps all 4 AP's, KTTW card, DL, a credit card (just in case) DVC member card, DDE card & DVC Golf Membership card in it

Oh, and it only cost around $8

That waterproof wallet sounds like a great idea - thanks for the advice. I'll be buying one of those for sure!
