Has anyone ever done the cityrama Paris city tour that is advertised in the DLP brochure (or any other organised tour) and can give me any info about whether it was worth the money? We are thinking of visiting Paris on our next trip but for our first time I think I would feel happier with an organised trip. :goodvibes

Yes, we did it a couple of years ago and loved it. Full review within my tr for Summer 2011, day 3 I think.

thanks Julie, I was sure I had read about it at least once but couldn't remember where. Will have a look. :goodvibes

tried to do it a couple of years ago - complete and utter disaster.

stood outside at the HNY bus stop for almost an hour before anyone from Disney came out to us - I think part of the problem was no one wanted to risk leaving the bus stop to go ask in the hotel what was happening incase the bus did finally turn up and leave!

When disney did come out to us, they told us the employees of the tour company were on strike but that we had to wait another half hour just incase the company managed to run the trip.

Half hour passes and Disney reps come back out with letters printed in various languages telling us all we had to go back to our own hotels to get a refund. Well over half the people waiting were Spanish so all the questions and answers were only in Spanish. So we trekked back to cheyanne and then queued there with many other families - another 30 minutes wasted! Finally got the money back and walked back to the parks.

All in all a complete farce and a waste of half a day with no real compensation other than our money back.

I definitely do not recommend.

To add to the joy we were hungry and tired by the time we got back to disney village so were going to stop in Mcdonalds for a coffee and a snack - to find it shut!!! again due to strikes........ Its so infuriating how badly DLRP is affected by strikes so often.

That's such a shame your day was ruined by a strike :(

I don't know how often that happens - happily our experience of the trip when it did take place was very good. It's a shame you missed out on it.

Sounds like you were very unfortunate to be there at a time of lots of strikes. :confused3 I would have thought that Disney would have offered some sort of small gesture for your wasted time even though it was not their fault. I think I would have been very angry in your situation.

It looks like you had a wonderful day. A real bonus to get quick access to the Eiffel tower. I think it is worth the money just to avoid the queues. :goodvibes Did you book through the hotel or did you book before you went?

We booked before we went. I think it might depend on the time of year, how busy it is. I did hear some people being told by the concierge that they had no tours free for a few days.
