Parents with teenagers, how much freedom?

My kids are now teenagers and probably would enjoy doing a little touring on their own. So how do other folks with teenagers handle it? My sons are 15, 15 and 13. The twins have cell phones so we can keep in touch but for the most part during our past vacations we've always stuck together.
So the next trip they want to explore a little on their own and I have to confess, I'm starting to get excited about have a little fun time with they fabulous DH. .

We let our 15,14,13 dds go off together this last time. They had to stay in the same park and I would call them every couple hours just for my peace of mind. I know I am a flake but, I worry about weirdos more than I worry about how responsible they are. They could have probably very easily gone to another park or hotel. But to me they are the most beautiful girls in the world and I don't want anything to happen to them.

Good news is they never ask to leave the park either. They must know I am paranoid!

I have a 13 yr. old and 11 yr. old who I don't think are mature enough to go by themselves. Maybe in a couple years(when stop fighting amongst themselves). But I would say it depends on the child, if the are mature and responsible. I would make sure they had a cell phone to keep in touch and that they clearly understand the rules for the day.

Okay, I'm 15, and my mom let's me go off on my own in the same park, especially if it's for rollar coasters or something. I have to have my cellphone on and with me at all times (unless I'm on a ride), so the instant that gets low on battery I have to meet up with my mom and dad. I normally take my DSIS11 with me, as we like rollar coasters/thrill rides, but my DSIS12 does not.
