I'm looking to get two 4-day park hopper tickets for my parents who are not Florida residents. Normally at Disney it would cost $754.

Is there a cheaper way to get these tickets from a LEGITIMATE source? Meaning not eBay or some shady reseller?

I know DVC has a special right now. Maybe you now someone who owns and can buy you a four day pass. AAA offers discount passes as does Mousesavers link into Undercover Tourist.

What's the DVC special right now, do you know? I do have a friend in DVC who may be able to help.

The DVC pass is not a hopper. It is a 4-day/4-park pass and you cannot repeat a park. IOW, one day in each of the 4 parks. The days do not need to be consecutive, but the ticket expires 14 days after the first day of use. It cannot be upgraded to a hopper, WPF&M or have more days added to it. You cannot add no-expiry to it. The cost is $199 per ticket, plus tax.

Tickets must be purchased by 12/31/14 and they must be used by May 24, 2015.

You do not get a hard ticket mailed to you. The DVC member is given a will-call number that can be added in MDE so that FP+ can be scheduled. However, you can pick up hard copies of the tickets at will-call if you don't have Magic Bands or don't like to wear them. Presumably, the DVC member would have to pick them up and show ID, but it's not clear as to whether they can designate pick up by someone else.

DVC members are limited to 8 tickets per household. The TOS are pretty specific about that. They are not very concise about whether the tickets can be used by non-household members (i.e. other adults traveling with the DVC members but not residing in the members' home). However, there is a long thread on the DVC board about these tickets and it appears that as long as the DVC member purchases the tickets for the non-member friends separately from those which the member intends to use for themselves, then they can give the will-call number to the friend for adding the tickets in their own MDE account.

ETA: Also from that thread: It isn't clear whether the tickets need to be picked up at will-call at all. As is often the case with Disney, different people are getting conflicting answers from the DVC CMs. Some are saying that they were told that the DVC member must pick up the physical tickets at will-call and show a DVC member ID before the tickets will be activated. Others have been told that they can give them to their adult children, who do not live with them, and there will be no problem if the DVC member is not with them on their trip.

The cheapest prices I have seen are at USSSA, but they only have up to 3 day hoppers and they have to work for your dates.
