The kids are doing the Peter Pan thing and I am egging on DH to dress up.
They'll be:
Peter
Wendy
Tiger Lily
Tink

I am thinking of dressing as a pirate, since "Mother" Darling wears a pretty fancy dress and I wouldn't be too comfy in that.

I'm considering shredding the bottoms of some black capris (that are spent anyway) and wearing a long, white shirt with a red sash. What do you think? Not obvious enough?

What else could DH and I dress as - without spending too much of our precious Disney money?

Our DD dressed up and me DH and I did not and so wished that we did...

I think pirates would go great with your theme.... you can get some good deals on-line on costumes or even make at home ideas.

Other inexpensive costumes could be:
cowboys & cowgirls
Romans (TOGAS)
HOBO Clowns
Mickey & Minnie Mouse

Not sure if any of those would work though.

DH's name is John and I'm BEGGING him to dress as "John" Darling - the oldest boy. All he'd need is a top hat, an umbrella to carry, oh - and the long nightgown ;) LOL Probably not going to go for THAT, though. :(

My hubby dressed up as Caption Hook one year and I dressed up as MRS. Smee....we had a lot of fun and the kids LOVED it. The pictures still crack me up....

Oooh - I want to see pictures!! :)
I thought about dressing him up as Mr. Smee - what did you wear? It looks almost like he's wearing a santa hat in the pictures I've seen :)

Unfortunately not. Mrs. Ambassador said my 'Scarecrow of Romney Creek' costume was too scary for the Little Delegation. What she actually said was she found my obsession more than frightening.

Count us in for dressing up! We'll be at MNSSHP on 10/31 dressed as Cinderella, Fairy Godmother, Woody and Jesse. We got DH to dress up as Woody a couple of years ago and he had so much fun that I think secretly he can't wait for Halloween to get here!

Take a look at the Halloween costumes on Disneyshopping.com - some are 60% off! (plus you can use codes to get an additional 10% :teeth: .)

If you want to wear a Disney costume, go to MouseSavers. That's what I did. Under "Discount Disney Shopping Mall" Mary has links to costume sites that have deals/sales/availability even this late in the month...

Oh, btw, I ordered the Maleficent costume (really wanted it last year, but wimped out, also had to get the raven staff) *and* the Jessica Rabbit with wig. Along with the Cruella that I've done in the past, I'll be set for ages.

We aren't going to the MNSSHP this year, but my sister is having a Halloween party and I really wanted to have a nice costume.

agnes!

We aren't going to MNSSHP, but hubby and I always dress up with our dd. I love Halloween. So fun to get into the spirit of things!

This year dd is going as Doree from Finding Nemo, DH is Marlin and I am going to be Nemo. *dd insisted on being Doree. lol *

aww!

I love that Dory costume they have at Disneyshopping.com.

After I saw those, I was wishing I'd had the kids dress up as Nemo, Dory, Marlin, and Squirt - because he's the CUTEST!

we're going to MNSSHP on Oct 20th - DS3 will be Peter Pan, DD2 will be Cinderella, DH will be Julius Caesar and I will be Cleopatra - I can hardly wait! - we wanted to do a matching theme, but couldn't all get on the same page this year

Aww - thank you so much for sharing those pictures :)

(We loved the Bjorn, too, for Disney) - what a cute family you guys are!

I have a Minnie dress and I am going to get the ears when we get down there. DH wanted to dress like Mickey, but the costume just seemed SO hot, so he will probably jsut end up buying a Halloween-y Disney shirt when we get down there, unless he finds a costume that he likes.

DS will be going as Dumbo :D
