Happy Holidays folks,
We are planning a trip to VWL in November with 15 of us including my parents who will be celebrating their 50th Anv. We will also have a few friends in FL come over for somekinda event, just not sure what event!!! I am looking for suggestions to make their 50th special, they desirve it, Better parents one could not have. Money is no object, just want this trip to stand out above all the rest. It will anyway after all their first grand daughter will be along with them, we are expecting Anatasia's arrival on feb 20th.

I am counting on all the experts on this board for help with suggestions.
Thanks, and have a safe and blessed Christmas!!!
Nick

What a wonderful vacation this will be!

I suggest a Wishes or Illuminations cruise. Seeing fireworks at night, from a comfortable seat in a well stocked boat was great...and then you don't have to fight crowds afterwards.

Merry Christmas to you as well! :santa:

I second the Illuminations cruise idea. Both of my parents turned 80 two years ago, and though we've all been to WDW many times, they had never heard about the cruises. So we surprised them, it was just the 4 of us and it was very special.

Another suggestion, far pricier - the chef's table at V&A's.

i'm sure there will be other great suggestions as well!

I though Illuminations cruises were limited to 10 adults or 12 people total.

I just went to the official WDW website and typed Grand Gatherings in the search box and it popped up more than one link. I'll bet they'd be glad to help you! :wizard:

I'm doing the same thing in 2007 for our parents - 50th wedding anniversary and 34 people in the family that want to go to Disney.

Illuminations cruise --- that was the first thing that came to my mind. We took our 90 year old Aunt and she absolutely loved it. The guide was just terriffic too, which made it even better.

We brought her to WDW 3 times and she was absolutely in love with it. She loved to eat fish and her favortie was Fulton's and she also loved the Brown Derby and the Ploynesian Luau (I think it is a different name now). Just some info that came to mind for some older folks out there. Hope it helps.

We did a dessert reception in EPCOT to celebrate a milestone birthday in 2005. I think we had about 17 people, total. It was spectacular.

We also booked the Grand I this past October to celebrate our parents' birthdays and anniversaries. It was a wonderful experience, but that wouldn't accomodate your party size.

All of our guests still talk about it.... I would highly recommend it.
