Parent Swap

Hi! Has anyone used the child swap at Disney World? We are a family of four and have read about it, but wasn't quite sure about it. I have read that one parent can wait while the other one rides, but can the child ride again with the other parent? Any informaton would be much help.

Yes, the child can ride with both parents, that way, one parent doesn't have to ride alone. Usually, they give you a child-swap pass, that says good for up to 3 people. But, a few times, they let us take all 3 kids on both times. You get to go into the FP line, so you don't have to wait all over again. It's really great!

Child swap is the best!!!! DD5 got to ride twice once with DH and then again with me. If it was a ride DD3 and DD5 could both ride, they each rode twice as the swap is good for three people. Just be sure to have the child that can't ride with you when you see the CM for a rider swap ticket as "proof". Also, still get fast passes for ALL who plan to ride and you trade those in when your time comes. If you don't have fast pass you will still have to stand in line the first time you ride. Great thing about the rider swap ticket is that most have no expiration on them. Sometimes you get a bonus and the CM doesn't take the fast passes when they give you the rider swap so you if you have 4 fast passes, you can still use those and the rider swap!!

We leave Saturday and have been wondering the following about the Parent Swap...It will bew DH, me, and DS(22months) so there are a few rides that DH and I would like to go on that DS cannot. Can we parent swap from the singles line? One would be going on the rides alone, getting off, then passing off DS so that the other adult can ride. So we would each be a single rider. Is this allowed? Thanks for any help!

The best thing to do is ask the CM at the entrance to each ride and see how they handle parent/child swap.

MOST of the time when the child is under the height requirement, they will give you the special parent/child swap Fastpass which must be used in the Fastpass line. One goes either with fastpass or stand by line then other parent goes with the special parent/child swap Fastpass. If your child IS tall enough to ride, they usually make you all go in the line together and swap at the ride itself.

I've never heard of anyone swapping in the single rider line.
