Can you tell me if this is possible. We will be visiting Disney with our 4y/o DD and twin 23 mo DD's, and we are bringing my wife's parents along.

Can we do a couples swap (and no, that's not what I mean - get your head out of the gutter!)? We hate to leave one person alone with the twins or all 3 kids. Can my wife and I ride together, then parent swap to let the Grandparents ride together?

We did this with our twins. Our older daughter really loved it because she would ride with both groups. The boys are too tall now and don't qualify for the baby swap. Take advantage of it while you can!

what is a baby swap?
A baby swap is when you have one child who is too small or afraid to ride something. You tell the CM at the entrance to the ride queue, and they give you a baby swap pass. One parent can wait in the regular line to ride, when they get off, the other parent can enter through the FastPass line with up to two other people, and then they ride, bypassing the regular standby line.

We did this on Space Mt, Splash Mt, Big Thunder Mt, TOT, RnRC, Dinosaur, Test Track, and Mission Space. It works great!

trstno1 - yes, the pass is good for up to three people, so your DD can go on again with the grandparents, my boys LOVED this, lol. They were thanking their little sister over and over again, it was funny.

No problem, I must have asked about a thousand questions about it before our trip! Say you're a family of five, mom, dad, two older kids, and a little one. You want to ride Space Mountain but the baby is too small, so someone has to stay off the ride and wait with her. You just let the cast member who is at the entrance know you want to do a "baby swap." They will give you a paper ticket. Then dad can take the two older kiddos and get into line to ride Space Mountain. After they get off the ride, they come over to wherever mom and baby are waiting. Mom can then take the two older kiddos back onto Space Mountain with her. She just gives the cast member working at the entrance her baby swap ticket, and mom and two kids get to enter through the FastPass line, skipping the regular line, so they can get right with little or no "wait in line time." Dad, meanwhile, waits outside with baby in the shade, or wherever.

If you have any other questions, please feel free to ask, that's why we're here, to help each other out! :D

That is the absolutely BEST explanation I have read about the baby swap. I thought I had the concept - but you really spelled it out very clearly.

This would be awsome for us - me, DH, DD 18, DD 22 and DGS 4. This would work wonders on some of the bigger rides that DGS can't ride.

We just need to tell the CM first, right?

Yep! (and thank you!) Although it worked the same way for us each time (a paper pass) from what I've read apparently they do it differently on occasion. It's easy. Here's another tip that may come in handy...you don't have to *immediately* get back onto the ride with your pass. You can come back and use it later. We did that once or twice when the wait was longer than expected the first time around and I didn't want to make DD wait any longer. We could go use the restroom, grab a snack, maybe ride something she could go on with us, then go back and use the swap pass.
