Parent more excited than kids?

I have to admit that I tear up when we pass thru the gate to WDW. But I actually cry when we enter Magic Kingdom and I see the Castle from main st. I just can't help myself!:tink:

Me, me, me, me, me!!!!!! I am so excited!!! My 4 year old is starting to catch it too, but my stepkids and dh arent excited yet! What is wrong with them?!?!?!:rotfl:

Okay is it me, but am I just bursting for Disney! I think I am so much more excited than the kids! I can't wait to walk through the gates of MK and just smile and when I hear the Mickey Mouse theme, I just want to clap along and sing. My kids have asked me to not be too embarrasing, but my memories of childhood of Disney were so great! DL, Wonderful World of Disney, Disney movies at drive ins, Mickey Mouse club show, the black and white one...so when I hear the music I just get so overjoyed..is it just me?? I want to maintain my "cool" mom image, but the pixie dust will just have it's effect on me..:lmao: Please tell me I'm not alone!

You are so not alone. I am way more excited than my kids. DH says they are excited but that it would be impossible for anyone in our home to meet my level of excitement. :lmao:

I'm glad to see I am not alone-same here! DH thinks its cute that I get all teary eyed once I walk onto Main Street! The kids just think I'm crazy (but secretly inside, I think they feel the same way)!

You are so not alone! I LOVE LOVE LOVE to plan our trips I cry at parades and fantasmic! I just Love every thing about it. After our last trip my family now calls me the Disney Nazi. They said I was creaping them out because they thought I never slept. I stayed awake to deliver the tinker treasures and I got up before them so I could shower and get ready so when they got up I could help get us out the door faster!
One of my DS friends (12 yrs old) laughs at me when Im on others TR and says Oh your taking another vertual trip again!:rotfl: (which is very funny-but true)
I cant wait to have Disney nights when we return with pics and movies.
Im the one who keeps the Disney frenzy going-all year!

That sounds like me! My kids were laughing at me yesterday as they were telling our little neighbor/friend that she's not sleeping at night. Planning, reading, making little favors from Tink for the hotel. I am planning on getting up way before them to be ready. I look at videos on youtube, was playing my Disney cd yesterday and they were telling said friend, she's been doing this all day!!! :lmao:

I too get all emotional when I walk through into MK, at least in DL, we haven't been to WDW, first time, so I think it will be just as emotional. I totally cry at Fantasmic.

Today, little neighbor friend slept over, so we are having mickey toast, mickey pancakes..lol...we were even trying to figure out a way to take her since she hasn't been to WDW..considered asking grumpy 20 DD if she would mind staying home so DF 13 can come with us and hang out with DD 12. :lmao:

I am more excited than my 8yo DS. My 4yo DD is excited, she asks for a MIckey story at bedtime. She will take out her autograph books and lanyard every once in a while. This morning her monorail cards were on her dresser and she was so excited to see Figment on one becasue she liked meeting him. Im sure if my 2yo realized where we are going he would be excited too. HE is so happy that we are going to see Thomas the Train in June, I can't wait for him to see WDW. He was there at 8 months. My DH just goes along with whatever plans I make- he likes Disney though.

DH and I are both HUGE WDW fans! I'm the planning-obsessed one though. We've been too many times to count, and yet each trip is a different experience and always brings something new. We leave in 6 days for our trip with the 2 oldest grandkids (5 & 7), son and DIL. We've been planning this trip for TWO YEARS!! We have wanted to share WDW with the kids since they were born, but knew their parents probably couldn't afford to do it. We're flying in, staying at a 2BR VWL, and doing the dining plan. I love to do crafts, so I've made goodie bags for the kids, including handmade autograph books, travel journals, Mickey head name tags, disposable cameras with custom 'skins', etc. I've had more fun doing this and anticipating how much fun we'll have!
Did I mention only SIX MORE DAYS???!!! :thumbsup2

All of these posts are adorable. I was just thinking that the morning we leave, having to leave at 4:00 am...going to set out the cinderella carriage, lights turned on, cinderella and prince charming standing buy with a note...yes the kids are looking at me a little nutsy like...lol....mom, just calm down..lol mom you are way too excited....lol...they will understand if they become parents how disney makes you feel!

I'm certainly more disney crazed than my kids, that's ok with me. The first time I went to Disney I was 30 ! I was hooked, going for our 3rd time in July :thumbsup2 :wizard:

You are not alone. I am always more excited than my son. I watched the Disney vacation planning video yesterday and teared up. I don't know what it is but everytime I am there, I am the kid at heart. Last time we went to the Crystal Palace for breakfast, my hubby marched around with Winnie the Pooh and Friends. My son thought he was crazy. I thought it was cute. Caught that on video. I was hysterical. Hubby made sure I made reservations for that again. I didn't tell my son we booked again for the end of August. Want to wait to see the look on his face at the last possible moment.
