Okay is it me, but am I just bursting for Disney! I think I am so much more excited than the kids! I can't wait to walk through the gates of MK and just smile and when I hear the Mickey Mouse theme, I just want to clap along and sing. My kids have asked me to not be too embarrasing, but my memories of childhood of Disney were so great! DL, Wonderful World of Disney, Disney movies at drive ins, Mickey Mouse club show, the black and white one...so when I hear the music I just get so overjoyed..is it just me?? I want to maintain my "cool" mom image, but the pixie dust will just have it's effect on me..:lmao: Please tell me I'm not alone!

Trust me you are so not alone. I am more excited than any son and my husband combined. I think I'm driving them nuts

Nope, your not alone. I'm the Disney dork in my household. I don't care about looking cool though-for the most part, I will never see these folks again, so I don't care what they think-and my kids just walk away and pretend not to know me! :rotfl:

My husband and I are way more into Disney than our kids. We have trouble sleeping the night before our trips. When we are not physically at Disney, we are planning our next trip to Disney!! We are planning to get a dog soon and the kid's are freaking out because my husband and I already have names picked out for the dog. Mickey if it's a boy, Minnie if it's a girl!

This is going to be my son's first vacation and I think I'm more excited for him than he is! Although, we have a Disney store here in a local mall and almost every weekend he asks can we go to the mall. I ask him why and he replies: "I want to go to the Disney store,Mom!!!" So, I think I might have passed some of my fever on!!! :woohoo:

My fiancee and I just laugh everytime he says something about the store. We have spent over an hour at the store just looking at things and then listening to the music they have playing. He loves it!!! He's also a big Power Rangers fan and he heads straight for the section as soon as we get there!!

Man, I can't wait to go........back HOME!!!!!!

Well, when I was younger, my mom was always the most excited about our trips (enough to make DSis and I roll our eyes when we were in high school, of course ;) ). Now, I'm the one that is bursting with excitement as the mommy! And, when we took my mom, too, I felt really bad for the guys with how deliriously happy we BOTH were. :cloud9:

Yes my kids have told me that they will just pretend to not know me...hard to get out of line when you want to ride the ride so bad..look out I'm singing along with the Yo Ho!!!

I gave them birth, they can at least acknowledge me..:lmao:

That sounds like me and my mom!!!

Hey, if you hear some crazy lady join you in singing...that'll be me! :rotfl2:

You know, its just that we know how to have fun!

I went to see POTC3 with my kids and I was all decked out in my POTC shirt, wore a bandana around my head and had all my POTC necklaces on. Yes, folks looked at me strangely at the theatre, but I guess they were just all a bit too uptight! Some people did think it was cool though. The kids sat away from me and DH in the theatre. Oh well...I am just a big kid at heart!

My DH and I are always so excited and we just really get into it. Your kids will see everyones else is the same way and cease to be worried about it. I say go and act as silly and happy and giddy as you want and if they don't like it remind them who's paying for this trip :rotfl2: . We are considering a 4 day trip for just us in September to celebrate both of us turning 40 this year, and trust me if we manage to afford to do it we will be hitting all the rides and acting like a couple of kids :woohoo: .

You're not alone. I am defiantly the Disney fan in our household. DS is a close second. I will just spat a random fact or comment about WDW all the time to DH. It is a known fact that we ALWAYS have to stop at the Disney store when we are at the mall, just so I can get a quick fix to hold me over.

You are definitely not alone! I have to say, my kids think I'm kind of cool to get into stuff that's not 'grown up'. Good thing!! Gosh I can't wait to go. My kids, DH, and I can make fools of ourselves and we don't know anybody :rotfl: .

Add me to the group. (See my siggy! :rotfl: ) I love going there. Love it so much I went to the casting office and came out as a seasonal CM. :lmao:
Fortunately, my dh tolerates my obsession quite well -- even if he doesn't quite understand it. My girls do, too. I mean I try to hide my dissappointment when they pick out "Hello Kitty" fabric at the fabric store instead of the Disney stuff, but inside I'm just devestated. How sad is that?!?! :lmao:

You are so not alone! I LOVE LOVE LOVE to plan our trips I cry at parades and fantasmic! I just Love every thing about it. After our last trip my family now calls me the Disney Nazi. They said I was creaping them out because they thought I never slept. I stayed awake to deliver the tinker treasures and I got up before them so I could shower and get ready so when they got up I could help get us out the door faster!
One of my DS friends (12 yrs old) laughs at me when Im on others TR and says Oh your taking another vertual trip again!:rotfl: (which is very funny-but true)
I cant wait to have Disney nights when we return with pics and movies.
Im the one who keeps the Disney frenzy going-all year!

You are absolutely not alone!

Someone said to us the other day, "So you do the Disney thing every year for the kids?" My dh and I just looked at each other and busted out laughing. "Yeah, sure, it's all for the kids, uh huh, SURE!"

No ONE in our house is as excited about Disney as ME!

My DH tries to act indifferent about Disney, but the week before we left on our last trip, he arranged the round refridgerator magnets on our fridge into the shape of hidden Mickeys! And, when I told him that Spirit had $9 fares to Orlando the other day, he talked about flying down to Disney for a long weekend (that didn't work out that time, but, I'll keep looking!)

SO SO SOOOOOOO not alone :rolleyes1

Sometimes I feel badly b/c I am CONSTANTLY talking about DW to my DD. She is as excited as someone who's never been and doesn't entirely understand the concept can be but. . . I can't leave it alone. :confused3

I really do try to limit the hype but so far I am a failure!:lmao:
I just remember what DW meant to me the first time I went as a child, and even the next time, and the next time. . .
I want her to have memories as fond and I am SO excited to start them! :yay:
