Pardoned Turkey"s

My friends like to give me a hard time because I'm a disney nut, so I'm continuously being asked crazy questions to test my knowledge.
So, where do the pardened turkeys get sent. I know they used to go to a farm in Virginia, but now they are sent to Disney. My guess is that they are sent to AK, but I'm 100% sure where. I don't remember seeing them.... Who can help me out so I can not let these people down?

This is what I have found so far.....


May and Flower have no worries about predators, of course. They don't even have to put up with roommate problems: When they didn't get along with the cow in their original exhibit, they were moved to their own private quarters.

Unfortunately, this means that they're no longer visible to the public. However, the turkeys to be pardoned this year will go to Disneyland in California, where you will be able to visit them at Big Thunder Mountain Ranch.

The sad news is, they don't live very long after the pardon

Snopes has an interesting article called "The Ungobbled Gobbler" that tells the history of the pardon.

Since 2005, pardoned turkeys get to be the grand marshals in the Thanksgiving Parade in either WDW or DL. Last year was the first year the turkey came to WDW, and the only info I can find just has it stated that it joined the WDW "Live animal collection." It probably did go to AK, but may not have lived long.

We all know turkeys are dumb. They probably saw the lions and hyenas and thought to themselves..."Hey, let's go meet the neighbors!"
