Ok, I only have 8 more days before I can book my shore excursions and I need some info from all of you inciteful people.

My kids want to do the parasailing. Now the Passporter says that they have to be 8 and over (which they are) but then it says they have to weigh over 90 lbs and under 375 lbs. And also that they can fly in tandem.

Now my question - none of my kids are over 90 lbs (not even my 13 year old). Can they weigh less than 90 lbs as long as they fly tandem? Or is 90 lbs or no flight?

Knowing in advance will give me time to break the news to them if they cannot participate!

I had that same question when I booked my shore excursions. My 11 year old is no where near 90 pounds. Yes, they have to be 8 years old. As far as the weight, you will need to go tandem and not be under 90 pounds or over 350? pounds combined.

My boys are so excited. My one son just turned 8 a month ago!

Hope this helps!

That is good news! I thought the 90 lbs was a heavy weight if they only had to be 8! Now we will have to figure who is going to go with who in tandem.

Does anyone know why 90 lbs is the magic weight?

I had this very same question. I wanted to go tandem with my daughter who is 8, but nowhere near 80 lbs. So I called and was told each person must be at least that weight. Now I'm hoping maybe she was wrong! I think I'll try calling again.

Has anyone been parasailing before? My husband is worried that it's dangerous.

You can be under the 90lb weight limit if you are going up tandem. My DD8 and I are going together this year. She doesn't weigh 90lbs yet.

I went last year by myself. Cassi, let your DH know that it is very safe. You sit down on the back of the boat to take off and when they pull you in you land on your feet.

The views from up there are incredible. I just hope CC has her greenery back before we fly.::yes::

Hi everybody.

I've been parasailing on each of our 3 Disney cruises. I am a big chicken and I could do it. Its very safe.

As far as the weight minimum-to ride solo you have to be at least 90 lbs.
