parasailing

Two thumbs way up :jumping1: :cool1:

Loved it big time!! The view is awesome!! I'm going to do it again in May!!!

Looks great but we've gone with parasailing in Key west through sebago watersports half the price and longer in the air.

DD and I did last August on CC, we enjoyed it, it was so quiet and peaceful, just wish it could have been longer.

My family & I did it last October & absolutely loved it. You are lifted right off the boat & don't get wet at all.

We took a camera up with us & gave one to someone on the boat to take pictures of us, too.

BTW, I have a fear of heights & absolutely enjoyed the parasailing @ CC.

My dd 12 wants to do the parasailing on our cruise next April. The brochure states anyone under 13 needs adult supervision- does that mean I have to sign up too? Do we do it together? Help!

My dd and I did this last July and it was okay. Don't necessarily plan on not getting wet. When the boat is going along at a good speed, you will get wet!!!! Also the guys that run the boat sometimes do dip you in the water on the way down - and that was a blast. I think I didn't enjoy it as much because I was so worried about a storm that was in the offing and I was getting alot of wind noise from the storm and water (even though it was probably 40 miles away) and then my hand fell asleep and then I began to panic that I would end up losing my grip. But my daughter had a blast!!!!!

Ya, know, I forgot about that. We got wet by the spray of the boat. We went in the am & my kids (12 & 18) went in the afternoon & they were dunked by their driver a few times:hyper: . They loved it though.

To Macnjac87 - When I called to reserve the parasailing I was told that my 12 yo needed to have an adult with him. As my other son turned 18 on the ship the night before, he was able to take him up with him.

How much did it cost in Key west?? DH has been asking about this. Was it a reputable company you felt safe with??

KC

Yes can provide more info on the sebago company in KW. Are there any other companies that offer parasailing in KW?

DS and I are excited about trying it in November when we go!

Okay, for us Pooh-sized patrons who might want to try this, does anyone know of the weight restrictions?

Weight restriction is (or was in July 2003) 350 pounds.

From the disney cruise site, it is now 375 lbs:

Parasailing (45 minutes, airborne 5-7 minutes)
View Castaway Cay from a whole new perspective as you soar approximately 600-1,000 feet in the air! This aerial adventure is approximately 45 minutes total, with 7-9 minutes airborne. Guests must weigh more than 90 lbs., but must not exceed 375 lbs. Children under 13 must be accompanied by an adult.

Adult Price: $70 (ages 10 and above)
Child Price: $70 (ages 8-9)
Departure Times: Every 60 minutes, beginning at 10:30 am Disney Magic
9:00 am Disney Wonder

My question is if its really true that you soar 600-1000 feet in the air? I am reserved for this on our Oct 9 Western cruise.

I'm planning to do this on our Western 12-17-05. I have made it my weight loss goal (I need to loose enough that dh and I can go tandem!) I'm paying myself for every pound I lose and when I'm done I will be able to parasail at cc!! I can't think of a better motivation.
