How long does the entire thing take? I'm trying to figure in when would be best to go (and surprise DH).

Depends on how many other people in the boat are going up. My whole thing - from the time I left my room at the Poly until I was back in the room - was just under 90 minutes.

I was only up there for like 10 or 15 minutes.

When I did it back in 2009 I'd say it was probably an hour or so from the time we arrived to the time we left.

I loved it by the way. I'd recommend the "deluxe" trip.

Thank you, I want to do the deluxe tandem with my DH. I think he's really going to enjoy it... I'll probably pee my pants but I think it'll be a neat experience.

I don't know how much the 2 of you weigh but we took our adult kids/spouses (8 of us total) and none of us could go tandem because our combined weight per couple was over the limit. We are not pooh people but they had a pretty small weight limit for their tandems.

We were quite happy with our experience. We did the deluxe for each of us. Since I did 8 of us at once, we had a boat to ourselves and we were out there a couple of hours. It was a great time.

Don't forget to bring cash for the gratuities. You have the boat captain and the person who puts you into the harnesses.

I thought I read somewhere that it was 330 lb. weight limit.
