Here is a video WDWboy posted on Youtube. My wife and I are not the one's "flying" but are in the boat. This should give you a good idea of what parasailing is like:

enjoy! Thanks WDWboy!!!

Did it on our Honeymoon cruise in 2008 and LOVED it! It was so peaceful floating along up there; surprisingly quiet, and you could see for miles!

Let me add that I've gone bungee jumping, FH and I have both been zip-lining, and we often do more "adrenaline rush" type things, so we DO enjoy that.

I definitely wouldn't say that it's an adrenaline rush... certainly no where near bungee jumping. I thought it was relaxing personally (although my DH would disagree as he is NOT the "adrenaline junkie" that I am).

It was a lot of fun, and my favorite excursion I've done so far. Just not an adrenaline rush. :thumbsup2

I have para sailed on CC twice. I found it to be a relaxing peaceful look from above. I loved it but am choosing not to do it on upcoming cruise because I feel like there is other things I'd rather use that hour for. Plus I'm gonna para sail on Key West for less money and a change of scenery.

I just assumed being up that high would be an adrenaline rush...my mistake

I watched that video. Looked pretty boring to me. Other than the "takeoff" and the "landing," the rest looked pretty... meh.

No problem. FH still wants to do it. I'm just thinking that I'll be really bored up there and will want to come back down immediately. Now if they dunked me, then brought me back up, then dunked me, then brought me back up over and over again, THAT might actually be a real adrenaline rush!!! :rotfl:

It was definitely not boring...but it was not bungee jumping thrilling either...but it was not boring. I'd do it again.

Very beautiful view from up there. Actually very peaceful...unless you have a fear of heights or water.

No fears of heights or water here.

It just looked in the video like the girls were incredibly bored.

How long does the entire parasailing adventure take? (training, parasailing and watching rest of group) We are a family of four and are trying to figure out how much time we'd have afterwards at CC. Do they only make you tandem with people in your group or with strangers too? Our two teens would probably tandem together, but weight-wise Dh and I would probably need to be singles. Any info would help. The pics on here are great!!

You are slotted for a one-hour period. The parasailing itself can be anywhere from 4 to 10 minutes. Depending on conditions, you may be paired with a stranger.
