Parasailing with a child??????

Hi everyone,
We will be in the world this November and celebrating my DD 9th birthday.... Wanted to surprise her with parasailing and wanted to know if anyone has ever done this with a child????? She is tiny, like 60 lbs soaking wet so we will be going tandem.... Keep in mind she is the epitomy of a dare devil, (RR since 6 TOT at age 5) you get the picture.... Fill me in on your experiences.

We did this about five or six years ago. My two DDs (then ages 6 and 11) went up in tandem and had a great time. My DS then age 13 went up by himeself.

My DS did a tandem ride when he was 9 and LOVED it! We took the video recorder up and it's just precious to hear his excitement as we pan across that spectacular view. The young men who do the parasailing are extremely cautious about good weather conditions and passenger safety, so I would feel utterly confident in letting a young child go up tandem.

That is good to hear...... They let you take a video camera up with you? Now I am even more excited!!!! Do you actually get wet? One more question although it is probably pretty silly but do you have to wear a swimming suit? I guess we can always pack them in our back pack. They don't take up that much room. That question also applies to the water mice.

You don't get wet at all and you don't need a swimsuit. You take off and land on a flat area on the back of the boat. It's very smooth and gentle.

My 9 y.o. DD flew with my DH. When we made reservations, they told me she was too young, but when we got to Sammy Duval's, they said no problem.

It's a wonderful experience. It's not a thrillride at all. On the contrary, it's exceptionally peaceful and you feel very safe up there.
