We were supposed to parasail on our Disney Cruise, but the excursion has been cancelled. So we are thinking maybe at Contemporary? Has anyone done this? Do you remember the cost? Time on boat and in air? It would be for my family of five. Any info is appreciated! Thanks!

I'm sure you can find info online, maybe even at the regular WDW site. Most of those things are run by a company called Sammy Duvall I believe.

In any event, my sister and her 10 year old son did it a couple of years ago, at the Contemporary. They absolutely loved it. I think they paid around $100 or so. There's diff costs depending on length of ride.

I found what you were looking for under, www.sammyduvall.com. Found this off of WDW site, under recreation....

Our son and his girlfriend (at the time) did this when we took him for his high school graduation trip (they were 18 and 17 at the time) and they absolutely loved it. They did it at the Contemporary and got some great pictures. The first time it was cancelled due to the storms in the area, but they easily rescheduled for the next day.

Time on the boat is 30 mins, if you do two tandems and one single (or 3 tandems if one of you goes up twice) you are looking at about 8 minutes of flight time (assuming you all want to go out on the same boat). You might get a little more flight time if the boat is not booked immediately after your time (depending on the crew).

Make your reservations as soon as possible and morning times are less likely to be canceled due to weather since most thunderstorms are in the afternoon.
