Parasailing at Castaway

My son and husband went parasailing at Castaway in November of 2001. We have finally purchased the equipment necessary to make our video's into digital and wanted to share.

This is a 20 mb file and make take a few minutes to download. Enjoy. We sure have in making it.

That is so cool! Did you have two cameras doing this? How were you able to take pictures in flight!

My son went up first and DH video taped from the boat. Then when he went up he took the camera with him; strapping it in his harness so he for sure wouldn't drop it. Then he spliced the two filmings together, giving the effect of the two views. Bought and analog to digital converter and the software allowed the cutting and pasting.

That is so cool! I've wanting to go parasailing ever since the days of "Love Boat!" (am i dating myself now?)
One question for those who have done it. Do you have that feeling of weightlessness when you are up there? That is the only thing that scares me.

It's more along the lines of sitting on a playground swing... albeit a pretty high one! The harness is actually pretty comfortable, I was envisioning a huge "wedgie" when I was done.

While the video might look like it's a rough flight, it's really very smooth.

My DW, DD 15, and I will be sailing on the August 19, 2006 Cruisin' Castaways Cruise. Since the Magic will be in California this summer, we decided to vacation at WDW this August.

That was incredible!!! It brought tears to my eyes!! My dd (age 12) and I (almost 40 scaredy-cat) are planning on doing it on our cruise in April. Great song- I loved it!!
