So what did you guys think of the movie? Went to the midnight showing and thought it was pretty good, definitely had some good scream moments.

On a side note, put yourself in the shoes of the dad. You know that your wife has been "demonized" and you have several hours to get out and save your life or you can stay and probably be killed.

I would have grabbed my daughter and bolted out of the house so fast. I'd ask God for forgiveness later on about having to abandon my wife and my baby boy but sorry, not staying. If he had done that, he would have saved his own life and would have spared the lives of Katie and Micah. Instead the dad tried to be a hero and everyone got killed.

So they seriously kill off a BABY in this movie? Wow. Usually horror movies won't go there. There is another child who also dies?

So I guess I can rest assured the german shephard is toast too?

Can someone post or maybe PM me and tell me if the deaths of the kids and dog are upsetting the way they are shown? I love horror movies but generally you gotta leave the young kids and the animals alone.

Someone put the whole plot on wikipedia. They don't kill any kids.

No the baby was not killed but might as well have been as he is now in the ownership of a demon. The german shephard is toast unless the hospital was able to pick him up.. I'm not sure the movie let us know for sure unless I missed it. The youngest daughter was on a field trip so she is alive.. kind of silly.

I liked it even if some parts were kind of implausible. For example why would the daughter film herself talking on the phone and would the Dad really have taken the video camera with him in that scary part towards the end? Those goofy moments aside, I had fun watching it and think that they tied everything up neatly. It was nice to see more character development this time too.

Yes but we don't know what became of the dog. Dog was in bad bad shape before he took it to the vet. I mean you could clearly see that the demon got control of the dog, how can a vet fix that?

Didn't one of them conjecture that the dog had a seizure? I like the way that part of it was filmed. Interesting stuff.

When I saw it last night, and the dad was about to go downstairs, a guy sitting in the front of the theater yelled "WHAT THE (BLEEP) IS WRONG WITH YOU?!"

And yes, I was also thinking...just get out of the house! You can have another wife and kid!

I liked it. I thought forever to get going, but once it did there was some good stuff there. I loved the scene in the kitchen when all of the cabinets and drawers exploded.

It was fun to see it with a big crowd, but the audience is so funny during the scary parts. When the movie ended and the screen went black for bit before the credits started, the projectionist flipped the lights on and off a few times to freak out the audience. It was hilarious.

I loved the scene in the kitchen when all of the cabinets and drawers exploded.

I just about jumped out of my skin when that happened. That one startle was worth the price of admission for me because I've rarely been so shocked.

I loved the way they tied everything together. I carefully avoided all spoilers and discussion threads and I was completely surprised by what happened.
