Paramount Travel and Tickets???

OK here it goes. My DH and I are going to DW in 10 days!!! yahoo We were going to go off to the store and buy our 7 day PHP but then looked on the budget board here and saw the posts about Paramount Travel and their ticket prices. My DH and I love their prices but have no idea who they are or how they sell their tickets so low. My question is basically how can they do it?? Is there any chance the tickets won't be good when you arrive at the parks?? Also we are there while they are having two E-nights. Will we still be allowed to buy tickets for that?? Do the Paramount tickets look any different than a DW issued ticket?? Any help you can give me and my DH to either calm us or steer us away from Paramount would really be appreciated.

Hi indymom!

No worries with buying tickets from Paramount.
They are an authorized ticket broker for Disney.
They buy their tickets in bulk at a reduced rate so that is why they are able to sell tickets at the prices that they do.
No chances that you their tickets will not "work."
You can use their tickets for any E-night (but you must be a Disney Resory Guest too), and in the Fast Pass machines.
Their tickets look no different than any other WDW ticket media. Some hoppers are plastic and some are a durable cardboard. The ones from ticket brokers are the cardboard ones - just like the ones that I purchased at TDS 2 years ago.
Relax. You can purchase and save at Paramount without any problems. Have a wonderful trip!

I just purchased 18 (yes, 18) 7-day PHP from Paramount for an upcoming family trip in November! I read alot of good things about Paramount on these boards, and I was NOT at all disappointed. The tickets came in two days by courier (I'm from Canada, so it may even be overnight if you live in the US). The tickets look exactly like the ones I used on my last trip, except not with the 100 Years of Magic wording. The character meal certificates arrived at the same time, and are good at MOST, but not all character breakfasts, as well as most resort, non-character breakfasts, and expire May, 2004. I'd be happy to answer any other questions you may have!

Thanks for answering me so quickly. Looks like I will be giving them a call tomorrow to see if they are still offering breakfast vouchers and if they can get the tickets to me in time.

BethR....I have never seen a cardboard ticket...I always thought that they were all plastic? Did you have any problem with them holding up??

Also never thought about the fast pass availability so I am glad that you mentioned this and that they will work there too.

Glad to hear that if we go with Paramount that they are an authorized ticket broker for Disney and that we shouldn't have any problems if we decide to go with them.

Let me tell you- don't worry about Paramount. I have read COUNTLESS threads of people buying and then USING paramount tickets. They are on the up and up and honestly I haven't read ONE bad thing about purchasing from them as of yet. So worry not.

I will be buying from them tomorrow. I'm going to bite the bullet and buy them early because I'm just so afraid that if I wait- they'll end up raising their prices too and/or stop doing the free breakfast voucher thing- and I really want those! LOL

(oh and btw- before we have bought park hoppers AND my premium annual pass FROM WDW and they were still the cardboard passes- not plastic. So you'll be getting the same thing from paramount. )

indymom, the cardboard passes hold up just fine! They are not your ordinary cardboard, but a durable type of material that can really stand up to abuse.

I read one time that someone preferred them to the plastic credit card type because he was the "official ticket keeper" for his family, and it was a lot easier keeping 5 or 6 cardboard passes than a stack of plastic passes.

You will be fine. Let us know how it goes.

BTW - I just ordered from them on-line last Friday and faxed the information they requested yesterday. I am expecting a package from them any day now.

Thanks for the good info as well. DW may have changed their tickets since the last time we were there was June 2001. We had a baby last year in April and were not able to go but we are going this year to get my second son's First Haircut and Disney Stocking on this trip!! So it is very possible that DW has gone to a new cardboard ticket since it has been a while since we have had one. Thanks for the assurance that Paramount is a good company to deal with. Now I just need to see if they can get the tickets to me by next week early. I am glad I hoped over to this board to check things out...it looks like Paramount can save us $100 on three tickets during our stay

Hi Debby!

Go to www.paramountinternationaltravel.com and click on the link for Disney Tickets. There you will see a list of what they have to offer.

They also have some things that are not listed on their site (ie: 6 day hopper), but they do carry. So if you are not seeing what you are interested in, be sure to give them a call and inquire. Toll Free number so it will cost you nothing but your time.

I think if you called and ordered tomorrow- I would almost guarantee that you would have them way before you leave in 10 days. Seems like everyone gets them in 2-3 days usually.

If it isn't too much trouble, could you list the places where the character breakfasts are good at? I'm curious which ones aren't included. Or if it's easier for you, the ones that aren't included.

Just back two days ago and had no trouble using our 30 day passes from Paramount. We did 2 e-ride nights with them and had a blast. Don't remember the breakfast places, but recall they were mostly at the resorts.
