Wow! I just discovered we can save about 250 bucks buying 10 day tickets from paramount versus the ultimate partk hopper with the disney club discount and we'd get a free character breakfast thrown in to boot. This is definately the way to go. i'm just wondering how you activate the tickets since they require the fingerprints. Do these get turned on at the resort or the front gate to the MK? How does that work?

These passes use the same "finger scan" procedure that the APs/PAPs do. It's not a fingerprint. Here's a link to an explanation of the "finger scan" process:

There is nothing to hand in. It is activated the first time you use it. Then you continue to use the finger scan. We used the 10 day pass in Jan.
