Has anyone tried this restaurant in DTD?

Tuesday is my 180 day mark  and I'm trying to put together some plans for my DS15 and I. We have 8 nights DxDP and we want to try some new places.

Our first full day on property he wants to go to DisneyQuest after spending the day at AK. I'm thinking dinner at DTD before heading to DQ would be nice. I was hoping for WGP but he wants to do something else and likes the menu for Paradiso but I haven't heard any reports from this place.

Thanks

We've been there. It's ok. In comparison to RFC and TRex, Planet Hollywood, etc. it's actually better.

Loved it!

Fantastic appetizers; great frozen margaritas; great entrees and nice portions. Also has an outdoor eating area and a really nice bar. It is my new favorite.

I would suspect anyone who is used to tex/mex chain restaurant food, might find it off kilter a bit.

It is more of a columbian cuisine and not as much tex/mex.

I have eaten there three or four times, and enjoyed every meal. The food is tasty, and the chef did a very good job of customizing the food to fit well with my special diet. I would go back there without a second thought.
If the weather is nice, they open up a "garage door" type window and you have an open view across the lake.

We live in Texas so have alot of Tex Mex, authentic mom/pop type places, and of course all the fast food chains of Mexican food on every corner. We eat Mexican food alot and enjoy all kinds. You are right though. You will not find beans, rice, and enchiladas at Paradiso 37, so don't go in expecting those items. We ate lunch there Saturday Feb 4th and was shocked at just how good it was. We all three loved our meals. We were on the DxDDP so had appetizers, entrees, and desserts. The guacamole and chips was some of the best we've ever had (a little warm with spices) and had huge chunks of avocado in it. My husband had the guacamole with chips, pork chop lollypops, and sorbet. I had the crab fritters, skirt steak and shrimp, and sorbet. My 3 y/o GS had the mini hot dog, corn dog nuggets, fries, mac/cheese, and mini ice cream cone. We all agreed it was one of the best meal of our trip, if not our best. These Texans will definitly be returning. In fact, I now plan on dining there during both my upcoming May and Sept trips. It's definitly a new favorite. I go to WDW several times a year and there are very few places that are really must dos, but Paradiso 37 is on that short list. Service was very slow, but the food was great.

Oh, one thing we found out: they accept the DDP, but they do not accept a Disney gift card for gratuities. (neither does House of Blues, but T Rex and Yak & Yeti do).
