Paradise Pier vs Disneyland Resort

Which do you prefer and why? We have stayed at the CA Grand the last 2 times and we love it but I want to save some money this year. Also we are planning on going April 8-11. Do you think I should give it a little more time to see if any deals come up or should I book now? I usualy go through costco.. Thanks

Doubtful that you'll find deals for that period. That's peak Spring Break. I'd book now before they get full.

I've stayed at both, and I preferred the DLH over the PPH, just for proximity to the monorail. The rooms were pretty similar in size and features.

I like both.

If you have bitty kids who won't be able to go on the big slide (if they don't swim well and need you to catch them) I would NOT stay at DLH...their pool is so pretty, but so useless for the little ones. Can't play on the pirate ship, can't go on the big slide...sigh. They do have the other pool, but let's face it, the big pool is a huge draw.

PPH's pool is much more simple, their slide doesn't empty into the pool, and littler kids can go on it.


Wow, that was really pool-focused, LOL.

We barely got a chance to explore DLH, other than some of the grounds, so I don't know all the marvels found there other than the remote control boats and the pretty koi.

I have not stayed at PPH, but I love the DLH. The pool is a huge draw! I love how close it is to the monorail station and to DTD. I would stay there again in a heartbeat if I can afford it.
