How good is the theme park view. It's an awful lot to pay just for a view. Are you able to see world of color pretty well? I don't know if my 2 littles will be able to hang for the wait for WOC so I am considering it because of that. Is it worth it? Opinions or suggestions please!

It's the best theme park view in the US. I'm sure someone can post a picture.

I would not get one to watch WoC from there. It's not nearly as good as from the park and it doesn't happen any earlier.

we stayed at PP in 2010 on the 9th floor, view room. we were almost on corner closest to the GCH. we loved seeing WOC from our room. we could NOT see the projections on the water screens. however, the fountains, colors and fire were really cool! in fact, after seeing it from our room, we decided to try to see it with a fastpass....
actually, if i could afford a view room (or even just a DLR hotel) every time, i would get it. i LOVE looking out over the resort at all times of day. early morning is my favorite. i love seeing the disney mountains in the distance. :lovestruc

This was our view concierge level 14th floor. Yes you can see WOC from your room and they pipe the music in. But it is still better in the park.

We had a theme park view at PPH some years back and it was really great. Much better in fact than a theme park view at the other hotels. You can actually see a lot of DCA. We haven't stayed there since WoC, but you would have a great view. BTW, even though there are "good" views of WoC from the GCH or PPH, you are really missing the show if you don't brave the crowds and actually watch it from the viewing area at least once.

It's freakin' AMAZING!!

Here was out view in October from the 15th floor:

This picture looks like its behind screamin'? I didn't think the hotel was this far back?

We are also staying at PPH with theme view. Much like what skingfast said i hear it's the best view of the park from any DLR hotel. Also because i doubt we will watch WOC in person every night we're there.

In May of last year (it was foggy/smoggy most of our trip):

This is WOC from the room. I don't have the best camera, but you can still get an idea of the wonder of the lights!

We stayed at the PPH with a theme park view last November. IIRC it was an extra $50/night. I thought it was worth the expense but overall the PPH does not really have a Disney feel to it. I would rather stay at the DLH.

We did a theme park view at the PPH one year for DBF's bday. It was great!! Looked over the pier and we could see quite a bit of the park. We could have watched the fireworks from there with piped in music but we just watched them from the park. :)
