There's no self-serve laundry but PP guests are allowed to use the DLH facilities. As far as a room, I would request a view of DCA but they charge extra for that.

No, PPH, got their own laundry room a year or two ago. And as far as I've read, during the construction, DLH guests have to go to PPH for laundry (in direct opposition to how it was back in '07 before PPH got its own laundry room, LOL).

Oh I'm so glad you posted this question! My dh will be thrilled to know about the laundry facilities, we will be needing them this week during our stay!

No, PPH, got their own laundry room a year or two ago. And as far as I've read, during the construction, DLH guests have to go to PPH for laundry (in direct opposition to how it was back in '07 before PPH got its own laundry room, LOL).

I just confirmed this. It is located on the second floor. There are about six washers and about ten dryers. I believe the cost was $2 per wash and the same for a dry cycle.

Yes, there is a laundry room. I used it when the DLH laundry was closed. I think there are 5 washers and 5 dryers (maybe 6). You have to buy tokens if I remember right, but there is a change machine right there.

Can I piggyback some stupid questions about laundry? I'd love to save room in our suitcases and do laundry, but I worry about our clothing being stolen out of the machines. Perhaps I'm just flashing back to college horror stories, but is that a valid concern? How do you manage laundry while on a trip? Do you do it while having pool time, so you can just go back and forth without taking away from your time in the parks?

You can only get in the laundry room with a room key, so there's a bit of security. I believe the cycle takes 45 minutes. I left and went to DTD while waiting on mine, and then came back. Then left again while it was drying. I did laundry on our off day, so no missing park time. But I am very trusting, and I figure if someone steals my clothes they must really need them. On a side note, it's not like I wear designer labels!

PPH needs to update their website. It says there's no laundry there. Two years behind is a tad much, say whut?

They definitely have a laundry room! We had to use it last September (my daughter had an accident). We don't usually plan on doing laundry on trips, but I love to know they have it if I need it. ...and with kids, you almost always do!!
