Hi all ~

Got another question. Looks like I might try Paradise Pier because of the lesser cost.

Now I need to know about parking because they have changed everything since I was there last. Do they still charge 9-$10 parking per day?

What are the alternatives? What if I give our vehicle to the valet??? Can they take it to free parking area?

ANY and ALL help would greatly be appreciated. Boy am I in for a change when I get there. Sure wish they never tore down
the MONORAIL CAFE!!!

I can't really help with your question, but I do have to say that even though some things have changed, I think they've mostly been for the better. Downtown Disney is great and the Grand Californian is beautiful. DCA is okay. The place just has a better feel now, IMO.

Hi

The Paradise Pier is my favorite hotel out of the three. They just remodeled the whole hotel. The rooms look much bettter than they did before. The pool even has a cool slide now. If you book through Central Reservations, I know that they add a resort fee that covers parking, local calls and a morning newspaper. I think it's around $8.00 a day.

Resort Fee: The Disneyland(R) Resort Hotels - Disney's Paradise Pier(SM) Hotel and Disneyland(R) Hotel and Disney's Grand Californian(R) Hotel, charge an inclusive daily resort fee of $9.20, includes the 15% tax which covers self-parking for overnight guests, complimentary local telephone service and access connections from in-room telephones, unlimited fitness center usage and free local newspaper delivered to room daily. The resort fee is charged per room per night and will be paid upon time of check out.
I don't know if they have valet parking at the Paradise Pier Hotel - I know they have it for the Grand Californian. If you do use valet parking, it's an additional $6 or more on top of the Resort Fee.

There is no free parking, unless you count the Downtown Disney free parking that is good for 3 hours, or 5 hours when validated at a restaurant or the movies.

If you book a package, your parking is included in the total. If you book room only, then you need to pay the Resort Fee.

Vicki,
Piglets friend is correct. Parking is included in the daily resort fee. They give you a piece of paper with your stay dates written on it and you put it on your dashboard. The parking is right next door and it is covered (unlike self parking at GC, where you are in the sun). We also had friends come for one day that had a drink in our room with us and went to the parks with us and the front desk gave us a second parking pass, no problem. Have a wonderful vacation - the PP is great!
