Paradise Pier or Anaheim Theme Park

all these talk about how wonderful DHL is made me look them up, wow, its pricing, for 3 nights, the GCH is only $200 more for the whole stay (3 nights total). for $200 difference, would you pick Disneyland Hotel or the Disney Grand Californian, this will be in Oct, so the pool reno woudl already be done.

When I was looking into both, the appeal for GCH was the fact that it's so close to DCA. The rooms don't scream Disney to me though, and lack the Disney charm I'm looking for, so that was a turn off. Especially after seeing the renovation pictures of the rooms. I also think the pool at DLH looks more fun (well, that is if the pool at GCH isn't changing).

the pool at GCH is not changing, just re plastering, the new rooms are just more bright and light I think... we always stayed at the GCH, and this is the first time we are considering offsite or PPH, but with all these talk about DHL, i'm so torn. (a good problem to have, cuz at the end of the day, it's a trip to Disneyland)

I like GCH better strictly for location. It's nice to be able to easily get back to the room during the day. There are times when we just want to grab a jacket, charge a phone, etc, and it only takes a few minutes to go do that stuff. However, $200 is $200 and if I had other things I wanted to do with that money, I might choose to save the $200 and stay at DLH. My husband has mobility issues, so if he was with me, I'd go with GCH.
