Paradise Pier Hotel/Club 33 Check In?

If we were to stay at the Paradise Pier hotel for two nights and are only going to spend one day in the park, how would I check in for Club 33? I know I have to go to guest services in the morning to pick up our ticket, but where is that in relationship to the hotel? I hear of people going through DCA to get to Disneyland, but I don't think that would be an option since we wouldn't already have a ticket and DCA won't be open as early.
Also, would we be eligible for the early morning entrance for staying on property with a club 33 ticket and not a regular ticket?
I'm just trying to decide to change our reservation from the Park Place Inn to Paradise Pier. Price difference isn't an issue. Any help/suggestions would be appreciated!

If Park Place Inn is across Harbor Blvd from the main entrance that is closer to Guest Services than paradise Pier. Paradise Pier Hotel is the most far away Disney Resort from the main Park entrance. You can not get into DCA without a Ticket. I think you need a multi day ticket to take advantage of early entry.

The ticket you pick up from Guest Relations is a parkhopper ticket, if I remember correctly. From Paradise Pier, you will have to go through Downtown Disney, and through security. Just past California Adventure on the right you will see the Lost and Found and Guest Relations. You should be able to use your ticket for MM since you are a guest at Paradise Pier. All guests of the resort hotels qualify for MM regardless of the kind of ticket they hold.

Is the Guest Services window open that early, though?

I would think that the concierge at Paradise Pier could certainly help you get what you need in a timely fashion. You might want to call them and explain to them your needs, before you arrive at the hotel. Another thought - is it possible to pick up your tickets the night before, so you have them in the morning?

Why only one day in "the park"? & Which "park" will you spend one day in?

(& staying on site for 2 days - at the PP - gets you early entry, aka MM...for arrival day, middle day &/or departure day.....if any of these days fall on a Sat/Sun/Tue or Thur)

We stopped at lost and found one morning before DL opened (though I don't recall if it was a MM day or not...but we weren't eligible for it so it was NOT before MM opening) and one line was for L&F while the other was for things like Club 33 checkins. So I know it's open before DL opens normally, but I don't know if it's open before MM. Hmm.

I am not sure if we can pick up our tickets the night before for club 33 the next day. I am pretty sure it has to be the same day. If guest services is anything like it is at WDW, it is usually open any time the park is and usually before then.
We only have one day because we fly in late Friday and depart on the Panama Canal cruise on Sunday. More days are not an option with our schedules as the cruise is already 15 nights. We hope to see a little of both parks that day. We aren't going to rush to do everything.
Does anyone know the number for guest services? I might just call them to get a straight answer. I just thought for a minimal price difference that it might be better to stay on property. Although it seems like Park Place is much closer. One thing I have to consider is going back to change for dinner.

You can't pick up Club 33 tickets the night before, that has to be done the same day. We did pick up our tickets before park opening, but it wasn't an MM day. So I'm not sure if they are open that early or not. I'd probably call and see what time they open on a MM day.

Either way I'd give it a try, go down there and see if they are open. Doesn't hurt.

Park Place is closer. We were staying at Hojo's and that was a bit of pain to walk to go back and change for dinner, then walk all the way back. Not to mention we were all wearing nice pants, so it was quite hot that long walk. But if you stay at Paradise Pier you could always cut through GCH/DCA on your way back to Club 33 from changing. It wouldn't be that bad of a walk that way.

Guest relations will open before the parks open at 8am. Not sure if your stay at paridise pier will get you MM. Check with them. Please remember the club has a strict dress code now.

Staying on site..... (at the PP/GCH or DLH) ... gets you early entry, aka MM...for any day of your stay...including arrival & departure day.....if any of these days fall on a Sat/Sun/Tue or Thur.

This is one of the major perks of staying on-site.

Thanks everyone. I've decided to keep our original reservation. Also, I do understand there is a strict dress code at Club 33. That is why I mentioned needing to go back to the room to change. I wouldn't want my DH walking around all day in pants and shirt with collar in August heat!

Depending on if you are going for lunch or dinner is important for the dress code. Guest relations has dress code information and the majority of our party were in walking shorts and polo shirts and we were within the dress code. The considered walking shorts to be shorts to the knees. There were rules regarding other things, but I don't remember them since I was more interested in being able to wear shorts.

Enjoy your meal!
