Paradise pier getting Pixar overhaul.

This sounds great! Paradise Pier really needs it. I've been really hoping they would bring back that private entrance.

I'd kind of dig it if the new Pixar theming tried to weave in more movies than just the standard Toy Story, Cars or Nemo stuff that Disney regularly pushes. I don't object to Toy Story, Cars or Nemo elements, but my goodness gracious there are so many awesome Pixar movies. I mean what about floors dedicated to Up, Brave, and Soul. It would be nice if they could bring back a small homage somewhere with A Bug's Life. Maybe the entrance area has an arch that is themed to Heimlich, the beautiful butterfly? :)

Because it comes from marketing strategy and marketing campaigns. Toy Story, Cars and Nemo all have in park experiences, so from a marketing point of view, they are the ones which have the main marketing budget allocated to them. Its also to to with market saturation and public awareness. I know it sounds unbelievable, but there would still be people who go to Disney parks and stay at the Disney hotels who would not have Disney+. So from a business and marketing perspective you would not use an IP only available to a small segment of your customers.

The same with A Bugs Life. That marketing campaign is over, due to the area being rethemed to Avengers Campus. No one is going to allocate budget to theme a hotel area to an IP that has been removed from the park.

Interested to see how the separate walkway will work. They would probably have to have a underground tunnel or skybridge to crossover disneyland drive if they wanted to make the entrance exclusive.

I am excited for this. Glad that they will finally match the Pixar Pier. They should do an entrance sort of like Galaxy's edge

Glad to see some new restaurants at DD. The New Mexican and Asian themed restaurants sounds nice. It looks as though the New Mexican restaurant will be more upscale than that of TJ’s typical fare. Catal just never caught on. Now if we can just get Disney to reopen Steakhouse 55 OR theme as Brown Derby. We need more than just Carthay Circle. 🤞🤞🤞🤞🤞🤞😊😊

Don't disagree.

Creative people dream big and innovate. Suits ask for ayes or nays. Frankly, you need both types.

It's the same argument I make for Batman. But Batman sells! Yes, it sells. When it's what you PUSH, and there aren't other options, people will buy what you're selling. They really need to break that cycle. And I used to work in product dev. at the "other studio" when I lived in Cali, so I saw that mentality in person. Very annoying.

I would also like to see them incorporate some other IPs. But I seriously doubt it will happen.
