Paradise Pier games

You buy "points" from a machine by putting in your money and getting a card with the points on it. Then, you use the points to buy the games. You can buy points in different increments. I think the cheapest amount is $5.00 which would buy two games ($2.50 each).

What do you win for playing the games?

It's too bad Disney charges you to play these games on top of charging the extremely high price for tickets.

Stuffed animals that have to do with the theme of the game. The fishing game guarantees a prize for every player, so their prizes are smaller and not Disney themed unless you pick one of the "lucky fish" that gives you a bigger Disney prize. The other games where there is only one winner per game have slightly better prizes that are Disney themed.

I though the same, but the prizes are fairly good. I played the game that SonnyJane mentioned and for $5 I got the big and small prizes. A lobster that DS calls Sebastion, and a Goofy that is going fishing. If I bought these in a gift shop it probably would of cost $30. So I felt like I came out well ahead of what I spent.

Another tip is that some of the games (the horse race one comes to mind) only require two players to start a game, so if it was, for example, a parent and their kid, they could just wait until nobody was around and play the game just the two of them. If the kid wins, hooray! If the parent wins, well, just give the prize to the kid!

That's what the CM told us to do, she was working some ball type game, can't remember what and DH really wanted to try it, she said no one ever wins and recommended that we play the shooting water one and if you have 4 players in your party you are guaranteed to win the "big" prize, so DH, me and DD played and DH played shooting with his left and right arm, we won a really cute Dumbo. Afterwards, we felt like we were cheating, but there was no one else playing or waiting to play and DH really did try on both lanes, I can't remember who of us won. But it did feel funny

We also played the shooting water game...my son 14, is extremely good at this game and I REALLY wanted the Dumbo...well , he won!!! Then my daughter wanted one too, so we played again and he won again. He also played one more game with this little kid that really wanted to win, well, my son won and gave him the Dumbo. This little kid cried! It was the sweetest thing. I couldnt believe my son did that on his own :) I was proud!

I LOVE the cards you get to play. They are so cute and great souveniers!!! I didnt think the prices were that bad :)
