We plan on staying at the Paradise Pier in a couple of weeks and was wondering if we are allowed to cut through the GCH on our way to Disneyland?

Last I heard the reports are 'yes, no, maybe so'. Some people report being let in the gate, others are saying they were turned away.

'Officially', I believe it's still 'GCH guests only through the front doors', but you can always try. Just be prepared to be turned away.

If you are going to DIsneyland you don't want to cut GCH that entrance leads to California Adventure. We walked through Downtown Disney and rode the Monorail into the park.

We stayed at Disneyland Hotel and the key worked at the gate. (It has worked since the parks reopened.). If you are headed to Disneyland, you can cut thru. If DCA, you can cut thru, or use the gate prior to the entry to DCA to enter (key required.)

Our plan is to stop for breakfast at Craftsman Grill since there is nothing available at PP.

So wait....when you're talking about other keys opening 'the gate', are you talking about the 'main' GCH gate on the sidewalk by the porte cochere or the 'new gate' along the pathway to the DCA entrance that opens into the grounds by the DVC wing?

Plan for an hour to eat breakfast there. It gets very backed up in the mornings. I'd honestly eat in the parks. It's much faster.

I was talking about the "main" gate on the sidewalk to the GC. Does my PP key work for that gate?

IDK, that's why I was asking. Other posters were just saying 'key works in the gate' and I didn't know exactly which gate they were talking about.

That is the gate I was talking about…it worked a few weeks ago so should work in the future unless they change the policy.
Well, that opens a world of possibilities as far as staying at PPH if one can open the GCH gate and enter the lobby. As someone who has a slight mobility impairment it could save a LOT of steps.

I normally stay at the GCH and have stayed at the DLH, so if I stay at the PPH I'll have completed the DLR 'onsite Trifecta'.
