Hello - less than 2 weeks until our wonderful cruise. Has anyone ever visited Paradise Beach at Cozumel? How was it?? We have done Nachi Cochem and one other are Mr. something - just wondering about any reviews from fellow disers on Paradise Beach! Thanks!

We have done Paradise Beach for our Feb 08 and Feb 10 cruises. We rented a jeep at port and drove there ourselves. We spent about 3-3.5 hrs there. The beach did seem to fill up as day progressed but never seemed overbearing. The staff is very friendly, the facilities were very clean. The beach itself is ok, the pictures I have seen of Nachi Cocom seem like that is a better beach. We paid $12.00 per child to use the floating rafts/slides but really did not get much use 1st time because water was very rough that they even pulled all rafts in. Second time dd's did use the floats more. They do not charge you to use beach/chairs but they do request that you at least spend $20.00 on food or beverages. We had lunch both times and the food was good(especially chips and salsa) and we got a table and had service right away, you can also order lunch on the beach if you prefer. That being said we have reserved Nachi Cocom for this November's cruise.

Thank you so much! We loved Nachi Cocum!! If it was up to me we would go back there this time - however my 13 year old is mesmerized by the iceberg, trampoline, etc!

We went to Paradise Beach on our cruise in Sept 09 and loved it. The kids loved playing on the stuff out in the water, DH did some snorkeling, I went ocean kayaking...so we all enjoyed having the wristbands allowing us to use the equipment. We had a delicious lunch on the beach - I highly recommend the mahi mahi sandwich.

The one thing I'll suggest is that you bring cash if you're planning to buy drinks/meals. I didn't have enough cash on hand to pay for our meal and drinks, so I had to use my credit card. There ended up being a pretty hefty surcharge for using a credit card. I didn't bring much cash because I thought it might be safer not to have a lot of cash on us, but I wished I had brought more when I saw that surcharge.

We have visited Paradise Beach several times while in Cozumel. It is great for families: good prices for food/drink, activities for the kids (iceberg, trampoline, etc.), jet ski rentals, parasailing, massages. Just about anything you would want is there.
When you get there you will be met by a waiter who will take you to the chairs. There is no charge for the chairs but they do ask you to purchase food or drink which are reasonably priced. It is a short taxi ride from the docks and only costs about $18 each way.
A great place to go and enjoy you day in Cozumel.

We went to Paradise Beach May 2010 & loved it. The facilities are clean & we had one waiter assigned to us for the day. He brought us our drinks & snacks. Nachos + salsa were yummy. Loved the resident parrot. :thumbsup2

We didn't use the water toys but lots of kids were and all seemed to be having fun!

Last Jan a group of us from Disboards went to Paradise Beach and loved it. :thumbsup2The kids had a blast playing in the water and on all the inflatable’s they had. We had plenty to eat and drink and DH and I went parasailing. It was very clean and not overly crowded. It was a great day. Someone at my work told me about it. It was a great tip. My son still raves about the fajitas he had. He wants me to go back and get the recipe.:rotfl: LMAO He was 10 at the time. I have some pictures. When I get the chance I will post them for you. Another PB fan here. We thought it was great. Friendly, helpful staff, with the owner, Tom, right there onsite to make sure his visitors have a great experience.

We'll be with DS4; it doesn't seem like there is a lot for the little guys at this beach other than the beach itself. Am I missing something?

I'm thinking that if he cannot take advantage of any of the facilities other than the beach, we're better off going to Nachi Cocum.

We visited Paradise Beach in late April and would not go back.

Not a good beach, especially for kids. VERY rocky (all of us got cuts) and rough surf. My boys (10 and 13 and very tall for their age) were both excited about the floating inflatable ice berg but were disappointed when they did not have the upper body strength to climb up on it.

I'm sitting in my Paradise Beach T-shirt as I'm writing this! :)

DH and I have been to PB twice and we LOVE it. We are beach people and find it to be safe, clean, friendly AND the food is amazing!

Like others have said, they do not charge a fee to get on the beach for for use of the chairs/umbrellas however, they do expect you to purchase food/drinks so bring CASH!

Also, another tip I can give is to bring water shoes. The area DH and I sat in front of was rocky and we were glad to have had our water shoes. :cool1: It made going into the water effortless. There were countless people who didn't have them and had difficulty going into the water because of the rocky parts. But if you bring water shoes, it will not be an issue!

We did not use the water toys as we just like to swim, eat and sunbathe.

It is a beautiful beach, awesome food and DH and I cannot wait to return!
