Parades...do we want more for HS and AK ...

maybe even EP ? With the recent end of MJJP at AK and the absence for over a year of a regular parade at HS I got to thinking ...does anyone care that there are no longer parades in these parks ? Is this a permanent end to daily parades at any park that isn't the MK or is this temporary because of current construction at AK and possibly construction as well at HS ? If this is just temporary what would you like them to do with parades at these parks ? And what about EP ? The Tapestry of Nations parade back in the early 2000's was pretty popular...do you think or do you want some type of parade at EP ? If so what kind of theming would you like to see ?
Me , I 'd like to see an evening parade leading up to Illunminations with a bigger and better tomorrow, world peace, global community/harmony theme . As far as HS is concerned I'd like a parade later in the day maybe around 5:00 with a heavy emphasis on PIXAR , MARVEL , and STAR WARS characters...(maybe even classic villians as well) . For AK obviously a very animal jungle themed parade that would now include AVATAR floats and characters .

I always thought that parades set Disney above every other park. They also are great when crowds make rides hard to do. I also think with these parks not having many headliners that a parade might help make the park more appealing to visit as well as add something to do.
I heard Epcot had problems with a good parade route for crowd flow so not sure if they will ever have another one. I also think they cut the parades at AK and HS to cut park operating expenses. So I'm not sure if they"ll bring them back.

Oh no !!! We loved the parade at AK... We are spending our first day at the parks there ... The last time we were at AK. We arrived for extra morning hours ... Followed the parade ... Which was so exciting for all the kids and us adults too ... Then went for breakfast at Tuskers .. Met so many characters ... It was so perfect .. Everyone singing and dancing at 8 in the morning .it definitely set the Disney mood ..... So sad we won't be seeing this parade ..

The HS parade was one of the best , with Pixar characters, and we were hoping it would come back soon....

Id love parades at all parks. Saw the millenium parade in late 1999 at Epcot and it was the most memorable part of the trip for me. Was a great parade.
Love the idea of MARVEL and STAR WARS in HS parade. Lastly I have been to WDW twice (1999 and 2012) but never saw MJJP and was dissapointed when I heard it had finished for good after we had booked our upcoming trip.
More parades please WDW

I think AK will get a parade again in the future after construction, since its all the construction that took the parade down.

The AK parade, which I liked a lot, was cancelled due to construction along the parade route. I would guess that we won't see another parade in that park until after Avatar Land opens in a few years.

As for DHS, another parade would be welcome. But, with FOF and MSEP drawing big crowds at every presentation, Disney has no reason to launch another new parade anytime soon.

Maybe Pixar Play Parade (which is at Disney's California Adventure) could be cloned for DHS? If so, I hope they bring back the utterly charming Ratatouille float!

While I would love to see the return of parades at DHS and AK, I don't think it will happen. At least, not under the current regime. Unlike some PPs, I don't believe the parades were canceled to allow for construction. I think it was simply a cost cutting measure that falls in line with the axing of so many other live performers/ performances. Its really too bad, because, in the past, nobody did parades better than Disney. If they ever return I'll be very happy, but I'm not holding my breath.

I would LOVE them having parades back at other parks!! I'm not one who remembers the different parades as they changed theme over the years/parks, I just like Disney parades in general. What a great way to give a ton of people something to do, especially in DHS where it's dwindling right now, and it would really take the pressure off picking my MK days! I like to see at least one parade per trip, prefer two, but picking a good MK day often means a party day with no MSEP and shorter hours, so I'm trying to get in all my rides vs watching a parade.

We didn't care much about the HS and AK parades, saw them each once and that was enough for us. We also don't watch the afternoon MK parade every trip. BUT we really liked the Epcot parade and miss that one. Loved the music and large puppet characters.

I miss the Pixar parade in HS. It was still there when my DH and I went in 2009 and I had so much fun watching it.
