I had a documnet saved that had a list of good parade spots that I pulled off of a thread, but my 'puter crashed, and had to reload Windows, so I lost it! :furious: And my 'puter is slow that it always freezes up when I try to search, so I'm in a bind ya'll. Not going until June but I'm trying to get all my ducks in a row and this is one of the major things I'm missing. Can anybody give me their favorite viewing spot in each park or either a link to a previous thread? Thanks so much! :hippie:

We sat on Main street for the afternoon parade. You need to get there pretty early I would imagine in June, to avoid the crowds. And we stood on the bridge going from mainstreet to tomorrowland for wishes. You will have Tinkerbelle fly over you at that spot. Hope that helps a little!

The train station at the start of Main street is the best place to watch any MK parade. Especially if you have little ones. You can get up high and not have to worry about not being able to see. For AK I would say right at Kilmonjaro(sp) safari. It's right where the characters leave the parade and I have found it the least crowed spot.

OUr favorite place to watch the parades in MK is infront of the Fronteirland Shooting arcade.

At AK in front of the flights of wonder.

on main street across from the bakery and ice cream parlor - if ya get there early enuf, everyone can get their treat and go across the street to sit on the curb where you will be in the afternoon shade!

The end of Main street is a great spot, as you can get out quick after, or get on the WDW railroad if staying. For others, Id suggest getting a map and noting the parade route. If you are leaving after the parade, Id go to the end of the parade route. If you are staying awhile, Id stick to the very beginning of the route. This has worked well for me

Frontierland is best spot for MK parade - they put ropes up and the little ones (or big ones) can sit or stand behind ropes so no one blocks the view. Lots of ice cream and other food stands around for snacks while you wait as well. Plus, it starts in Frontierland, so you don't have as long a wait when parade time comes.

Last time, we left MGM early and didn't even see the parade and at AK we were on near Tuker House (??) I think. We staked out a spot about 20 minutes before, but it was sooo long ago I don't exactly remember. Does anybody have any suggestions on these 2 parks or is anywhere along the route a good one. We're going 2nd week in June so how early do you advise staking out a spot for the parade? We went in late August last time so it wasn't ery crowded but I'm sure June is a totally diffrent story! ::yes::

i avoid main street like the plague for parade viewing...you have to get there so early to get a good spot. we've always enjoyed viewing it in frontierland just across from the liberty tree tavern.

I tell people to sit near the center of the flagpole on Mainstreet, across the street from the train station. People are rarely there and you can get a lot of the characters to wave to you.

I have to agree!!! I sat right at the crossing at town square across from the train station and the entrance to the park. I got some great pictures!!

Here are a few of them:

At MGM, the best spot by far is to get bench in front of DC Sounds Dangerously. They fill up fast, but if you can get one, no one can stand in front of you because it is a fairly narrow spot.

If it is really hot out, I like to sit in the restaurant next to Star Tours. If you get a table next to the window on the Star Tours side, the parade starts in the alley between the two buildings. The table are high, so you are looking over everyone's head outside. You can sit in comfort and see just fine.

Thanks for all the tips. I remember last time sitting on Main St and the traffic in and put of the park after was horrible, even though overall the park wasn't full. Frontierland sounds gret because we can FP some rides before and jump on after the parade ends. I guess the only park left is AK but I really don't think it would be too hard to find a spot. I really appreciate all the tips, and the MGM one was wondrful. We've never seen the parade at MGM, so I had no clue. Thanks again! :Pinkbounc
