Parade Taping

Does anyone know when the Xmas parade/special will be taped this year? Thanks!

In recent years the parade was recorded at Disneyland in California. Stage shows were recorded at WDW. Not sure of dates as nothing has been announced yet.

I have no clue about the OP's question but I do remember it used to be filled the deginning of December. My very first job was at Dairy Queen and I remember the owners would take their whole family down to WDW the first week in December to be there for the taping of the parade/special. I was always so jealous and wanted to be there at that time too. That was 30 years ago! My old bosses have since passed away, as well as one of their sons but I often wonder if the rest of the family kept that tradition.

You may wish to check the DL board. Since it hasn't been recorded in FL for the past few years I'm not sure you'd see anything on this board.

Last few years taping was around Nov 11 (veteran day).
WDW has taping at night ,sometimes once park is closed.
CM can sign up, once that happens , we will here info.

In 2021, it’s highly likely that the Disney will return to its normal schedule and record the Christmas special for ABC, Disney Channel, Disney+ and other outlets (usually, multiple specials are recorded all at once) from November 4, 2021 to November 7, 2021. For the last few years, it’s been that first weekend in November.

Recording the first weekend of November 2021 gives Walt Disney World a chance to take down the Halloween decorations and get up Christmas decorations in advance of the recording. Moreover, Disney starts airing these television specials on Thanksgiving, which pretty much requires at least a couple weeks of lead-time for sufficient edits. So, if you do want to attend the 2021 Christmas parade filming, that’s the weekend to aim for.
