I saw the 3pm parade on Saturday. Couldn't help notice that the snow globes are missing. I called a DIS friend who said yea, they've been gone a while. However, half way through the parade, I noticed the music wasn't the same. Was it just my imagination or did the music now change as well?

You're right. Technically it's a completely new parade. That's right, a "NEW" parade. However, there's really nothing "new" about it but the music.

They simply removed the snow globes and changed the music. It's a horrible change in my opinion. I like change but, hey, if you're going to do something, do it right.

They changed it from Share a Dream Come True Parade to Disney Dreams Come True Parade.

They changed it about a month ago.

It's not quite accurate to say ''there's really nothing 'new' about it but the music.'' In addition to removing the snowglobes, all of the floats have been totally refurbished/redecorated. There is also entirely new choregraphy for the characters--those who walk and those on the floats. While I don't think most people would consider it a 'brand new' parade, it is definitely updated.

I didn't even notice the new choreography. I'll have to pay more attention next time.

I saw the parade in Tokyo Disneyland which the WDW is modelled after. I really enjoyed it. Very neat looking floats and great interaction. I am looking forward to seeing it in WDW

From what I gather the changes to the parade are not too great. I look forward to seeing for myself next month :woohoo: . Thanks to PKK/MJK for pointing out new choreography that we might otherwise have missed or dismissed.

FWIW, I read in the UOG (one of those Jim Hill snippets) that these changes are just to tide things over until 2008 when there will be wholesale changes in the MK afternoon parade -employing new technologies.

The new parade is really nice. The music is very upbeat and catchy. The new choreography is great. I enjoy watching it and hope a soundtrack with the new music comes out.

I absolutely hated this new music. Yes, it was catchy, but the same thing over, and over, and over, and over. Share a Dream used to be my favorite...Disney Dreams Come True is probably my least favorite parade now.
