When we last went to Disneyland in April 2019 we got reserved seating at the parade I think through a Plaza Inn lunch reservation. I can’t seem to find that option. Did Disneyland do away with that? Are there any options to get reserved seating for the parade? We will be there later this week. Thank you for any help!

There is no daytime parade at the moment, the new parade is premiering in a couple of weeks.

Ahhhhh thank you. I’m a bit rusty! And I’ve been spending all my time obsessed with ROTR and how it will affect our trip starting in 1/23.
Thank you!

I JUST noticed a Plaza Inn Dining Package today on the website. I was able to book it for the first day of the new parade! (Well, for the second parade...I wasn't able to find anything for the 3:30.) It'll be our last day at DL so I thought I might take advantage of the coincidence.

Just noticed this on Disney's website. We'll be there for the first day of the new parade (F 2/28) - and since it seems a happy coincidence, I booked it. The package is for the second parade, though. Has anyone done a package like this for a daytime parade? What was it like? Was it worth it? I'm so interested!

Edited to add this from Disney's website:
$40 per adult, $25 per child. Tax not included; gratuity not required.
Each package includes:
  • One lunch entrée and one drink
  • One voucher that provides access to the parade’s reserved viewing area
  • One Plaza Inn credential
Choose your favorites from a delectable menu featuring slow cooked short rib with chimichurri, chicken thigh fried to a golden brown, pesto-infused mashed potatoes, roasted seasonal vegetables, corn relish and dessert. Our kids' meal includes fried chicken tenders, mashed potatoes, corn relish and your choice of Go-Go Squeeze Applesauce or baby carrots and dessert.

Finally. I kept looking for one, but gave up. Thank you for posting.

Is it only offered for the second parade? I looked into April and got a time offered for the 2nd parade too.

Yes, the package is offered only for the second parade of the day:
"Lunch reservations for this package are available between 1:00 PM and 3:30 PM. At the restaurant, you will receive a voucher for the day’s second performance of the “Magic Happens” Parade."
I checked a few other dates before finding that. :)

Do you interpret this as that you can select any entree off the Plaza Inn lunch menu or only have the choice of the two things that are listed in the advertising?

I did this package for the Electrical parade this summer. While I liked it, I lucked out and got a spot sitting on the curb. Other people had mentioned that when they got there on time, and the spots were already full. So they had to stand

Right, a big factor for me is, how early do I need to be at the viewing location to be able to see? I wouldn't mind standing for the parade, of course, but if I keep the package, I would like to be able to sit until it starts. Anyway! How early did you get there? And what was considered 'on time'? (This is so helpful, btw. Thank you!)

I got there about 20 minutes before the ticket said to get there. I happened to be going in that direction and was going to sit at the train station to wait, but I noticed them allowing people to check in early..so I did too. So I probably waited an hour total before the parade began.

Got it, thank you!
