Parade question

I've noticed that at the end of every parade, a whole bunch of people are trailing the last float.
Why?
Does something special happen when the parade ends its route?

If you mean regular guests then No, those are the people leaving the park and by following the parade they have a path to the exit cleared for them. If you mean cast memebers, I think they are there to keep those guests mentioned above from over running the parade
